Hi Jason.  I know I said I wouldn’t include him anymore, but when I was reading Batman and Robin #11 (July 2012) and saw his fancy-schmancy apartment all I could think of was how much my version of Mar'i would approve … see this old page: [link] (for the record, I’ll still be ignoring everything to to with the DCnU Teen Titans and Outlaws, the only reboot things that will sneak in is this place from B&R and a costume from Batman Inc)

AWKWARD PAGE. There was no way I could think of to make the conversation NOT awkward, unless I skipped over it…. or if long ago when plotting this comic out if I had gone with one of my other ideas - that Kory knew about her and had hid her away or if Mar'i had hopped over from another of the 52 earths… but no, I had to be UNIQUE and make it magical and weird. AH WELL.  Really only makes sense if you read the older pages. I also almost always forget to draw Kory’s armbands. (still, this is obviously NOT Outlaws “Kori”) to make up for it I took extra time to make the coloring shiny. previous page: [link]

[my art] Mar'i becomes Nightstar. Her outfit is a dance recital outfit. haha. This of course will lead Dick to saying “Dance! you want to learn how to dance!” and him teaching her all kinds of (age appropriate) moves and then Batman will walk in and shout “NO DANCING IN THE BATCAVE!” (I’m not drawing that, use your imagination)
