ALICE KINGSLEIGH ---> 24 --> SERVER--> ECHO CREEK
Species: Dreamwalker Sexuality: Unsure Pronouns: She/Her Favorite Song: Where Is My Mind? byPixies Big Three: Cancer sun, Cancer moon, Sagittarius rising
alice was raised to be proper, polite, and delicate, but she was none of those things really. she was someone who followed the beat of her own drum and if people didnât like that...well, that was on them. she was a lot like her father in that sense. while her mother was prim and prissy, her father was free-spirited and creative. her sister margaret took more from her mother and alice took more from her father and that was just that. her father taught her to think of six impossible things before breakfast while her mother tried to instill manners into her. it worked, the manners part, but that was really it.
ever since she was little she was a lucid dreamer. like her father, she was a dreamwalker, which meant she could walk through her own dreams and those she slept near. her dreams were always so vivid and strange, like chasing a rabbit down a hole that led to a world of its own. they were magical and only took over her mind more and more as she grew older. soon naming six impossible things was cakewalk.
she was grateful for her life, but she also always felt so lonely. she didnât get along with any of the people her age at the parties she was forced to go and she was always dozing off to escape from it all.
when her father died, her world truly shattered. she went a little mad, or more so sad. she fell into a darkness she couldnât find herself out of. her nightmares were vivid and she would find herself stuck in them until morning.. Â she was sad, she was mad, and she didnât know how to handle the emotions that were bubbling inside of her. she acted so poorly, so badly, that her mother tried to settle her down. instead, she ran away.
it was on her first night that she found wonderland. she had been chasing a white rabbit, or a man with a rabbit headband on so to say. she snuck inside when the bouncer wasnât paying attention and what she found was a place that left her speechless. Â it was a burlesque club, which was already fancy on its own, but what her even more speechless was how she felt like she been in a place like it before. but only in her dreams. everyone who worked there reminded her of them, down to the frightening owner who she had knocked over on that first night.
she found herself sneaking off to wonderland more and more, making friends and keeping company. she wanted to dance on that stage sometime. it looked so freeing and powerful. but she knew she was nowhere close to it. she was staying with her cousin dinah and her roommate she had and while it was nice, she knew she was going to be sent home for any day. it took a few years but when it happened, alice had put up a fight. she didnât want to go home, so she ended up with margaret and her fiancĂ©. she always feels like she is in the way and just tries not to stay home.
getting a proper job at wonderland was all she wanted. she doesnât like serving that much because a lot of the customers are scary and gross, but she has her wonderland family to back her up when she needs it.
she used to never drink or smoke. she thought it was improper of her. but as she has gotten cozier in wonderland, she has started popping pills. they are laced with magic and make her dreamwalking even more real-feeling. when she is awake on them she feels like she is in a dream. at first she tried not to use them much, but recently she has formed a bit of an addiction.
she hides it from everyone. she doesnât need them to worry that she has lost her mind completely, but sometimes she wonders if she has. she still feels as lost as always, more so now that she couldnât run to her father or just write it out in her journals. her mind is normally somewhere else and that is the only place she felt safe. when she was speaking father from herself and her body.
when it comes to love she doesnât really know what she is doing. she has only ever had one proper boyfriend and she has managed to even mess that up. she wants love, she craves it so deeply, but she never seems to find it in people who love her back.
she is a bit of a crybaby. when she is mad or frustrated, she cries. she used to be teased for it constantly.
she is very gullible. while she tries to stay proper in conversation, she is too trusting, and believes everything anyone is saying to her. not unless it is too real, at least.
she finds herself playing with stray cats more and more each day. she wants to take them all home, but she knows margaret would not approve.
she is soft and full of love and pain.
