"Nate...", Maddy paced back and forth at the end of his bed before finally sitting beside him. She puts her right hand on his cheek to turn his face towards hers, "you know...that that isn't true, and even if it was I wouldn't care, I love you too much." She slipped her hand down from his face and leaned her head on his shoulder, she anxiously waited for him to say something to break the somewhat miserable silence.
