the magician card represents manifestation and power - though i replaced the items on the table with trophies sidney has won, in the original rider waite card symbols representing the four tarot suits lie on the table, symbolising the tools the magician can use to reach his full potential. this card is number 'one', and being the number for new beginnings and opportunities i think fits sidney well - his entry into the league at his age and his size (which for the time was quite young and quite small) led other clubs to realise that young, 'undersized' players can still have a huge impact on the ice. sidney crosby's success on the ice has inspired generations of young players, some of who now compete against sidney in the NHL. he is the 10th overall leader in points, and has the most points of all active players.
