The Magical Kid Project takes place in a world much like our own.

In this world, a mysterious entity appears to outcast adolescents. It calls itself Glass.

It gives them the ability to transform into a Magical Kid, giving them a new outfit, increased strength, stamina, and speed. Magical Kids start out without powers, without weapons, and with a basic white costume- it is up to them to discover who they are and thus what they embody.

A Magical Kid’s costume takes the appearance of their pride flag because they connect deeply to the meaning of the flag.

Glass has slight future awareness. Because of this, there is never more than one Magical Kid representing each flag. That being said, this only accounts for the flag they represent. There may be more than one bi Magical Kid, but only one represents the bi flag.

I, the Creator @theanonymousclown, take the role of recording every Magical Kid currently on the field.

TRIGGER WARNINGS

While for right now this blog is focused on the characters, the STORY of The Magical Kid Project will feature aspects of religious trauma, homophobia, transphobia, aphobia, death, injury, and possession. It also features various allusions to Christianity, Angels, and Demons in a negative light. One of the main allegories is how religion can effect how people view the LGBT community, and how the Christian faith can be harmful to queer people. If you have any triggers related to Christianity, I would recommend avoiding this project- some of my anxiety triggers used to be God and Angels, so take my word for it that the topic will be a very apparent and can be a trigger.

Honeygender is a term describing a gender that feels slow, warm, steady and sweet! This flag was created by a tumblr I think is now defunct, but if you’re still out there let me know!

This Magical Girl has a coquette theme! She uses She/They pronouns and Honey/Honeys/Honeyself, Bee/Bees/Beeself, Bzz/Bzzs/Bzzself, and Buzz/Buzzs/Buzzself Neopronouns!

Bees name is Bumble, after Bumblebees! Buzz can create and control honey!

Buzz’s Magical Girl Weapon is a frame from a beehive! It’s shaped a bit like a lute, so she can carry it under her arm! The immortal bees within are very close to their Magical Girl, and will maim any enemies that come close! She largely uses it as a source for her honeybending (as buzzs teammates call it).

A useless face about honey is that honey has a habit of calling other people “Hon”! It’s probably a carry over from growing up in her mom’s hair salon…

(A.N.: Yeah so I’ve been gone for like two years. I’m in college now! At first it was art block but it slowly evolved into ‘I’ve been gone so long is it really worth continuing’ but as always the answer was yes! Meagirl is a term and flag coined by @mogaiminty describing a girl/woman who is comfortable with others using ‘masculine’ terms/gendered language when addressing them!

This Magical Boy has a Prince theme! She uses She/Her pronouns!

Her name is Carol to match Carolina the Azurgirl Magical Kid for reasons that will be explained later! She can “knight” people with her Magical Boy weapon, and her knights are given increased strength.

Her Magical Boy weapon is a sword only she can hold! It burns anyone, friend or foe, who tries to hold it. Useful for confusion- Carol is fond of going “Catch!” At enemies and watching them instinctively grab the burning sword.

A useless fact about her is that she is Carolina’s number one fan, to the point that Carol became a Magical Boy because of Carolina! Carolina never really acknowledges her (and Carol honestly doesn’t expect her to) but Carol always gets excited when she sees Carolina!

Objectix is a term and flag coined by @idwl! I got a good amount of my info from @radiomogai’s reblog (because I originally couldn’t find the OG coiner)

Objectix is a term describing someone who is attracted to objects, but doesn’t believe they’re sentient!

This Magical Boy has a Retro Robot theme! He uses He/Him pronouns!

His name is Oppy, after the Mars Rover Opportunity (WHO I LOVE AND WILL CRY ABOUT). He can control technology!

Oppy’s Magical Boy Weapon is a wrench! He mostly uses it as a blunt force weapon (which is, of course, effective), but it can also just be used as a wrench.

A useless fact about him is that he’s a little weirded out by Buddy, Welchia’s partner/bestie. Oppy is pretty scientifically minded (despite the, y’know, magic) and doesn’t quite get how Buddy has gained sentience.

Gorture is a term and flag coined by @gender-mailman describing a neogender related to gore, torture, and the like! 

This Magical Girl has a Vampire theme! She uses She/Her pronouns and Blood/Bloods/Bloodself, Gore/Gores/Goreself, Vio/Violent/Violentself, and Bou/Bound/Boundself Neopronouns!

Bloods name is Carmilla, after one of the first Vampires in literature! She can force her pain or injuries onto others- it’s a little unsettling for gores teammates!

Violents Magical Girl weapon is a length of rope that’s almost unbreakable! Carmilla usually uses it as a lasso to bind or otherwise inconvenience enemies.

A useless fact about her is that she sleeps a lot. Blood works a night job, and sleeps a good amount of the day. On the nights she doesn’t work, she goes patrolling as a Magical Girl. A lot of younger Kids think she might actually be a vampire.

This Magical Kid was requested by @the-dumb-smart-friend!

Eldritchcute is a term and flag created by @adorable-abomination describing a gender that is both eldritch and cute! Exactly what it says on the tin!

This Magical Kid has a Tentacle theme! Their name is Sonia, after the wife of H.P. lovecraft, a writer who popularized the Eldritch Horror genre. I am NOT naming one of my children after one of the most racist men of all time. Sonia uses It/They/She Pronouns and Eld/Eldri/Eldritch/Eldriself, Haunt/Haunts/Hauntself, and Cute/Cutie/Cuteself Neopronouns! Its Magical Kid weapon is a sacrificial dagger!

Sonia can summon tentacles anywhere she wants! The tentacles appear from some sort of portal, and can be summoned functionally anywhere. The tentacles aren’t sentient but can still move and will restrain anything that touches them.

A useless fact about this Magical Kid is that cute takes a little enjoyment from scaring other people. Nothing TOO bad, but none of their friends ever need to worry about hiccups!

It’s been many years…

Before we begin, I’d like to note that I’M NOT A SYSTEM! If anything said here is incorrect or offensive, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Omnigender was requested by @demitheshine!

Omnigender is a term describing both an orientation and gender identity, both described as being attracted to or being “most, but not all” genders. The coiner doesn’t have a tumblr I can find, but the original flag and description was posted by @pridearchive! This version of the flag is by Meowchilde, who I don’t BELIEVE has a tumblr but I could be wrong.

This Magical Kid has a Solar System theme, because I physically can’t stop myself from using a good pun. The host, named Hera due to the myth where Hera created the Milky Way after getting her breast bit by Heracles, is the main Magical Kid. Hera uses She/He/They pronouns. He’s pretty sure there’s around 5 alters in their system, but the only one who has an opinion on being a Magical Kid is a Little Alter named Alice (after a notable astrologer). Alice (she/her) is super fucking pumped about being a Magical Kid.

Hera’s Magical Kid weapon is a telescope that, unfortunately, mainly gets used as a baseball bat. Outside of combat, though, it’s Hera’s most prized possession- much to Alice’s confusion! Hera can summon shooting star projectiles- they don’t usually hurt, but they’re super bright and disorienting.

A useless fact about Hera is that she has a lazy eye! They’re a little self-conscious about it. Alice, however, couldn’t care less, and most of the other alters don’t mind it either.
