Set of 10 Wax-Stamp Lookalike Halloween Magnets- These are really neat- clay magnets stamped and painted to look like wax. They even have that waxy feel to them- though sadly no, they will not respond to your fingernail the same way as real wax, sorry. A whole set in 10 unique spooky designs!

Halloween Mushroom House Painting-  A charming little jack o' lantern mushroom house with a delicate pathway leading up to it. Lovely misty marsh off to one side, and a certainly not up to something jack o' lantern on the other.

Every mushroom painted is poisonous. We have the jack o' lantern mushroom, of course, as well as the eastern destroying angel, false morel, death cap, fly agaric, ivory funnel...The central mushrooms are obviously based only in fantasy. 

The rune stones bear markings of protection.

There are many different textures and effects in this painting, the photos really don't do it justice. The mushrooms shimmer in the light, well offset by the deep dark woods behind them. Some surfaces are slightly 3D.

Set of 3 Glowing Burlap Jack-O-Lantern paintings-  A set of three burlap paintings of festively spooky faces. Each one is lined with glow-in-the-dark paint. If you mount them somewhere that they can be exposed to light, in the darkness they will glow an eerie ghoulish green. Each one is only 4x4″, so they can fit just about anywhere you want to add some Halloween joy!

Life and Death painting:  The flower is a Argemone albiflora, or "White prickly poppy". Its leaves are so sharp and prickly that cattle will not even eat it, even in periods of drought. I wanted to visit the "life from death" concept, but also emphasize that life can be fierce, tenacious, and resilient, as well as beautiful. I first took inspiration for this painting from the plant growing out of the skull that was so iconically held by the Keeper of the Seeds in Mad Max: Fury Road. *Hand drawn, inked, and painted with watercolor paints on a burlap canvas. *12" x 9" *All products created in a loving cat home

White Page Butterfly:  This is an entomological display of a butterfly identified as E. protesilaus, or "White Page". The typed identification marker on the bottom indicates it was collected in Peru or Chile. Unfortunately I do not know anything else about the origin of this piece, when it is from, who collected the specimen or how, or where it came from. I found it in a thrift shop over 15 years ago. The butterfly is mounted to replicate the natural environment on what appears to be a piece of wood, accompanied by some dried and some artificial plant details. The box is plastic and has an identification tag on the bottom indicating the species and where it was collected. Item is 6.25" tall, 3.5" wide, 3.5" deep.

“1428 Elm Street” painting 

This is a small but very detailed painting of a Dutch colonial house.  Its warm tones could be reminiscent of a late autumn sunset... or a fire.  You know, on closer thought, this house does seem a bit familiar...

This is part of our series of Horror fanart incognito. Unless you knew the reference, this work looks like a charming autumn portrait of home where perhaps children play, their hopscotch board still visible on the front walk amidst the falling bright crimson leaves.  

For those who DO know the reference, the image is nightmarishly delightful as a nod to a beloved classic, and a very cursed bit of real estate.

“Freddy’s Field” painting 

Another of our horror paintings incognito, this is a lovely autumn grain field between a winding country road and a birch forest. What's that in the weeds and late season wild flowers by the roadside? Oh, that's just a friendly old burlap scarecrow with some very sharp, very long fingers and a very familiar sweater... Maybe you should take a nap in the field.

A blink and you miss it horror nod to Freddy Krueger of Nightmare on Elm Street fame, this painting is a super subtle way to express your love for horror year round without worrying about offending Nana with bloody knife hands man. Or maybe you don't actually care about that horror franchise and you just like vaguely unsettling scarecrows (who doesn't, right?).

Either way, I painted this such that it can be used as a sly wink-nudge towards the original man of your dreams or just a pretty autumn field. I personally am a fan of both interpretations. 

The purple flowers grow roadside in my home state of Michigan, but I'll be darned if I can remember what they're called other than pretty.
