"I guess I will never come to fully understand you."
"My friends, I am worried. I believe Kier is sick."
"What is the matter with him?"
I have recently been informed that just because you show up naked at a beach and claim it in the name of the nudes that doesn’t’ actually make it a nude beach.
It puzzles me what goes on in your mind.
"Clearly some of you Midgardians know not how to care for a book."
"I thin that might make you the smartest person I know…"
"You must know really idiotic people if I am smarter simply by reading. Though I do not doubt that I am…"
"Clearly some of you Midgardians know not how to care for a book."
So is this gonna be like a thing with you? Are you gonna be that guy who reads?
"'Tis nothing new. I have read since I was taught how."
"Clearly some of you Midgardians know not how to care for a book."
"It shouldn’t, I get that. Doesn’t mean you have to make a big deal out of it."
"A wonder that it is me instead of the school. The library keeper back in Asgard would never allow such a thing."
"Clearly some of you Midgardians know not how to care for a book."
"Hey, it wasn’t me."
"Still, this school could certainly use some control of sorts about it."
"The weather is much better now."
"You’re still pretty."
"If you say so..."
"Clearly some of you Midgardians know not how to care for a book."
"Not everyone cares for reading like you might."
"Whether one enjoys it or not, it should matter not."
Somehow, sundown || Open
It would be a lie to say that Loki didn't miss Asgard. He had been born and raised among golden buildings, enjoying the fruits and sweets bought at the different market places, exotic foods from all around the realms, enjoying the comforts of the palace. He had learnt everything he knew there, had perfected his magic in his mother's gardens and read countless of books under the shade of the trees of the forest. And while not every memory was a fond one, Asgard was still his home.
Of the nine realms, Midgard was certainly the most different. Everything, from the food to the customs to the people, was as different as it could be. But if there had been one thing he had found to be the same, it was the sunset.The way the sky would be tinted with colours. Pink. Red. Orange. Golden hues staining the clouds, making them seem oddly warm and somehow resembling those in Asgard, making him remember when he would slip into the rooftops of the palace, sometimes on his own, sometimes with Thor, just as the sun was setting and watching the sky changing before them.
And so, he found himself wandering up the stairs of the building, heading towards the roof just as the night was nearing. Sitting close to the edge, he looked up at the different tones of the sunset, not hearing the door opening and someone stepping in.
We privileged few || Open
A deep sigh escaped the trickster's lips as he walked through the rows of shelves, his emerald gaze scanning the different books, selecting the ones that were in the worst state. It was merely a fluid motion of his hand and light, green smoke appeared from thin air, twirling and coiling like a hungry snake, slipping in between books and tomes and taking out the ones he chose.
It was ridiculous, really, the amount of books he could find that were in a bad state, whether it was merely a page with a ripped corner, or as much as broken spines and stained covers, it made great annoyance grow inside him.
The palace library back in Asgard could easily be the largest in the realms, equalled, perhaps, only by Freyja's own library in Vanaheim. Books that went from children stories to the most ancient of tomes adorned each of the endless shelves and walls of the library, each of them carefully selected and placed in its proper place. Of course, he was aware that not everyone was as careful as he was, but yet there weren't many books in Asgard's library that were in bad conditions. It had been more than one occasion in which he had found a stained page, a bent cover, or a broken spine, and he had used his magic to restore them. And so, with a still growing pile of damaged books floating behind him, he made his way to a nearby table, sitting down and starting on his task of fixing them.
"Clearly some of you Midgardians know not how to care for a book."
"The state some of the library books are in is ridiculous."
"The weather is much better now."
"A welcomed change from the heat of Summer. Though I still prefer the cold of Winter."
Reunion || Amora & Loki
Amora had become almost lost in her task at hand until an inquisitive rumble from Torvus alerted her that someone was entering her classroom. Soon she heard Loki’s voice echoing lightly through the space and with a smile she turned around to look at him, “Yes, I was just reorganizing the space. Putting things back where they belong.” she waited for him to walk over and once he was close enough she strode forward to wrap her arms around him in a hug. Pulling away she placed her hands on either side of his face affectionately and her grin just beamed even more, “I cannot tell you enough how good it is to see you.” she pulled her hands away and tucked her hair behind her ear, “Please sit, we have much to catch up on,” she made her way over to the solid oak desk in the front of her classroom, sitting atop it and patting the space next to her.
Torvus pawed his way around to Amora’s side, and purring contentedly as Amora scratched his ears. The enchantress was curious what this conversation would hold, and what she would reveal to Loki. She felt like she could trust him, but at the same time she had not seen him in so long, she was unaware of what he would think of her if she revealed the things she’d done since leaving Asgard. Would he be apprehensive of her? Even if she told him, she wanted to assure him that what she had done had simply been a means to an end. She would not and could not harm him. She hoped she could trust him with her secrets. But she would judge the conversation as time went on. If she had to tell him, she would, but if she could avoid it in any way, she would rather take that path instead.
Loki's lips remained curved into a soft smile as he approached her, glad to be seeing her once again. A light chuckle escaped his lips as she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him, returning the hug affectionately and gently placing his hand upon her hip as she pulled back, watching the features of her face. "As it is to see you." He replied, watching the smooth sway of her hips as she turned and walked away to her desk, following soon after and hopping onto the desk, sitting by her side with his hands at his sides, feeling the oak under his fingertips. He moved his gaze away from her face and instead glanced around the classroom for a moment. "I see there are some things in which you haven't changed." He commented with an amused smile, watching the neat way in which she kept the room, everything guarded in its proper place just as he remembered her old chambers to be.
He smirked as he watched Kisa flying away from his shoulder, moving towards Torvus instead, hovering over him and teasingly tugging at his ears with her beak, making Loki chuckle in amusement as he watched them interact, much like how they acted together so many years ago. Licking his lips, he turned his attention back towards Amora. "I cannot deny I am eager to know what you have been doing all these years." He told her, his voice smooth. If there was someone who was similar to him, it would have to be Amora, and so he didn't expect her to tell him all about her time away, or at least not so soon, but there were still many other things they had left to catch up on.
"He’s a Dingo and he has a name."
"Still, an odd thing for your daemon to have his own web shooters, do you not think so?"
"Sif would find this man herself and make him beg for mercy. And the Allmother would allow her to do it. I do not understand why this music is appealing."
"And watching such a thing would entertain me greatly." He replied with a huff. "Midgardians have an odd taste for such things."
"That was uncalled for."
"Well, he is a dog, is he not?"
