"My friends, I am worried. I believe Kier is sick."
"Hello again my friends, perhaps all you could explain to me what this video is:"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cODXtuC1U0c
"Why should no one drop this "thun thun"? Is it fragile?"
"I find it to be rather distasteful and offensive."
"Sif would find this man herself and make him beg for mercy. And the Allmother would allow her to do it. I do not understand why this music is appealing."
"I think he just wants to get punched in the face. I mean he never actually said it but I can just tell he wants it."
"And why have you not? He should not be speaking to ladies in such a manner. I would do it, but it would be breaking my own moral law against hurting Midgardians."
"…I have no idea what you’re talking about."
"There are too many songs that talk bad about women."
"Frankly, I do not understand these Midgardian customs. The Allmother would see for these musicians to be destroyed, or outcast."
"Women in Asgard would never be treated this way. Sif would never allow it."
"Friends, I have recently heard one of your realm's more popular ballads. The name escapes me but it is by a man by the name of Thicke. Frankly, I do not like the way he speaks to those ladies."
"Anyone care to join me for a meal? I am told that apples help keep the heat away."
Sparring Practice - Thor & Peter
'Young'. That was definitely a word that described Peter the moment his body reacted, became excited, with Thor's body pressed hard against his own, keeping him pinned to the mat. The skin on his face turned red, but he would be damned if he let the other see.
Shooting his webs to the sides and using his legs as leverage, he tried to pull free of the God’s binds, though not being a god himself, he seemed to have some trouble. He pulled and groaned and took breaths, still unable to pull free. “You know, not every villain that tries to attack me from behind will have god-like strength.” Peter informed the beautiful brute looking back at him as best he could. Still, hiding his red face from the other seemed a pretty good choice than to fight longer and show him his embarrassment.
"But a villain could have god like strength," he chuckled. Thor stood again, but not without catching a glimpse of Peter's blush. "Come now, Peter. There is no shame in trying an failing. We cannot all be masters at what we are learning. Oh, you should have seen me as a child when I began to spar. I had no technique! I simply attacked the first thing ahead of me, which usually ended in a bloody lip for me," he chuckled. "Now, in defense position again. This time, I warn you that I will attack." When they were set again, Thor shot out his hand for Peter's wrists and swung his leg to try to hit the back of Peter's knees.
"But I am not a complete stranger. He knows of me. I tutored your brother for many years, and you know me. How could that make me a stranger?" she quirked an eye inquisitively. Torvus was practically ignoring Keir at this point, laying down on the ground and yawning dramatically, pointed teeth showing as he did so. When Thor questioned about Asgard she shrugged, "There are particular things I do miss, yes. But I am quite content where I am. I had no intention of returning, at least for now, to be honest."
Thor shrugged at that. "You and I never spent much time together I suppose, so Keir does not know you so well. Do not worry, after a few days, he will be more comfortable." He ran his fingers through the lion's thick mane and let him lick the tips of Thor's fingers. "Just know that you will be welcomed in Asgard, should you choose to return. The other magic tutors still respect the legacy you left behind and try to follow your teaching patterns." Thor held out his hand to reach for Amora's hand to kiss. "It has been a pleasure, but I am afraid I must go back to my chambers."
Beginning again || Thor & Loki
Loki kept his emerald gaze on his brother, his eyebrow rising in wonder at his words. “Is that truly what troubles you?” He asked in curiosity. He was fully aware of their bond having become weaker over time, though he hadn’t thought it would have been an issue for the older. “We are much too different in many ways, brother.” He spoke in a soft voice, his tongue coming out to lick at his lips briefly. “I do not think you were ever too eager to learn of my spells, and it has been long since I turned my attention towards seidr rather than sparring matches. I would not have thought such would be a thing that troubled you.”
"They say that opposites attract," he smiled and shrugged his shoulders a bit. "Just because we enjoy different things does not mean that we have to be so distant from each other." Thor sat on the edge of the bed, his elbows resting on his knees as he played with his hands a bit. "I know it may seem a bit strange, but I really do want to spend more time with you, brother. You mean very much to me and I wish to take the opportunity now that we are temporarily free from princely duties to build our relationship once again," he said with a warm, hopeful smile.
The question made him look up, made him become distracted with curiosity and wonder. “You would leave your daemon with me?” He whispered, moving closer to the God. “Why would you do that, Thor?” Peter asked, again, moving closer. His hand was placed on Thor’s knee and his body pushed closer to the God’s. Taking a deep breath, Peter watched Thor a long moment before he leaned his head forward, his forehead on Thor’s shoulder. “Stay here, please?” He asked, knowing how weak it sounded, but not able to stop himself. “You and Keir…” Peter asked, leaning his head against Thor’s chin, lips ghosting his neck.
At first, Thor was surprised by the contact, since he had thought that Peter didn't want any one to touch him. But once he saw how much Peter leaned into Thor's warmth, how he closed his eyes and almost relaxed, Thor smiled softly. "Of course," he murmured softly before wrapping his arms around the other. The god laid the mortal down on the bed, still keeping him close. Thor did not dare do anything else though, not wanting to risk upsetting Peter. He simply held him close, rubbed his back a bit and let him share his warmth. Keir wandered into the room soon after, quietly jumping on the bed and laying on Peter's other side. As if he had been doing it all his life, he cuddled close, purring softly. Almost like a lullaby. Keir nuzzled Peter's cheek and licked him once.
He wasn’t crying, at least he hoped he wasn’t. In complete honesty, Peter didn’t want to feel anything. Not the heat on his cheeks from hiding, not wetness on his skin from tears, not the trembling of his body from the memories, not even the hand on his back from the Norse God beside him. He feared Thor’s kindness, for he wouldn’t be able to control his ability to keep himself composed with the gentle touch. Still, he didn’t move or fight Thor’s hand from him.
Peter sat up, lifted his hands to his face to wipe evidence of any pain before he turned and looked at the God. He wanted to be weak for once, to rely on someone instead of taking responsibility and being the one others turned to. Looking at Thor, he hoped for no judgement; he hoped for comfort.
"Uncle Ben had this crazy idea that if he went to the bar once every six months, twice a year, he could resist the temptation to go every time he passed it. He wasn’t an alcoholic or anything, but because he was married, he thought he’d have less freedom to do what he wanted." Peter paused, lifting his phone and looking at the date. "…Today he was supposed to go. Aunt May called me to tell me his friends came to the house instead. They drank beer and watched the game. She said it made her smile." He lifted his face to look at the Norse God, eyes becoming weak. "I wasn’t there to see it…"
"I see," he murmured, his voice low but warm. Thor knew that feeling that Peter was experiencing. Missing someone that once so close, only to loose then to life's greater force. "I am sorry you missed your opportunity. Perhaps you could invite his comrades to your home again? You could celebrate his name day or just make a meal invite them to share it with you in his name?" Thor didn't touch Peter, but gazed down at him with kind, understanding eyes. "Many believe I do not know pain. Not physical pain but heartbreak. Just because a thousand years will not age me, they believe I can move on from things easily. Such is not true. I have known loneliness in a universe filled with souls, and I both fear and welcome death when the time comes. That is a price to pay in this life." Thor looked out the window, towards the skies. "I know your pain, Peter. The heart heals and the Norns are merciful on our souls once again. It just takes a bit of time." He stood from the bed and turned. "Would you like Keir to keep you company tonight?" Thor had not let many people touch his daemon, but he knew that Keir could comfort Peter, cuddle with him and watch over him.
Beginning again || Thor & Loki
Loki stood in the doorway for a moment before he finally nodded and took a step to the side so Thor and Keir could walk in. “Aye. I have been occupied trying to unpack and settle my things properly.” He told him, turning his back to him and moving to sit on the armchair closest to the bed, his gaze wandering down to watch the lion interacting with Kisa. It amused him at times, how Kisa was usually so indifferent towards most people and their demons, yet she kept that familiarity towards Keir, that closeness they had shared when they were children, even while Thor and Loki had drifted apart after some time. Loki turned his gaze up towards his brother once more and cocked an eyebrow at him. “Is that so? And what do you wish to talk about?”
"You know as well as I that things between us are no longer the same, brother," Thor said as he moved a bit closer to Loki. "I began to spar and train and you continued working with your magic. I cannot remember the last time you came over to watch me spar or when the last time you showed me a new spell of yours was," he said, a tinge of sadness in his voice. "I wish to rekindle the brotherhood we once had," he said. "I want us to have the same relationship we did when we were children. Perhaps it is foolish of me, but I sincerely miss you, Loki." Keir was busy with Kisa, playing with her tail or her ears.
Forgetting to close the door, Peter had answered his cellphone, only to wish he hadn’t. His heart raced, but there was nothing he could do where he was. Memories shot through him and he wasn’t able to stop them, not at that moment. Turning his radio up loud enough to disturb his neighbors, he dropped his backpack and curled on his bed, hiding hos face.
Thor moved down the hallway, hearing the music that blasted through the entire building. He peeked in the door and saw the young man curled up on his bed. Thor sighed quietly and entered the room, closing the door behind him. After clicking the radio off, Thor slowly made his way to Peter's bed. Thor sat on the edge, his hands folded in his lap as he thought of something to say. He knew Peter was upset. Thor placed a hand on Peter's back and murmured in a low voice. "Even gods have emotions. They just make heavens weep when they do. What burdens you, my friend?"
"Well, I am glad that you are not quick to point fingers where they do not have merit, but I was referring to the fact that both Torvus and I could sense the apprehension coming from your daemon. But no matter," she said putting a hand on her hip and sighing slightly, "Ah, well then, Thor, I wish you luck in whatever other endeavors you decide to pursue at the school. I have spoken to Loki, it had been a long while, but despite my initial reason for leaving, seeing him here did indeed spark the fondness for him I had felt all those years previous. It was good to see him. As it is good to see you as well. I have not been back to Asgard since I left, it is comforting to have a bit of home here in the form of you both. But yes, I have found a niche in Midgard for now. I do not know if I will stay or if I will travel again, but for the moment I am fine with staying put"
"Keir? He sometimes is cold towards strangers," Thor said, looking down at the lion that was still carefully watching the other two. "But once he spends more time around you or your daemon, he will warm up." Thor ran his hand across the lion's thick mane again and scratched behind his ear. "He likes to think that he is quite brave but in reality he is rather lazy." Keir growled softly and Thor laughed. Changing the subject, Thor looked back up at Amora. "Why have you not returned to Asgard? Do you not miss your home?"
Sparring Practice - Thor & Peter
theredandblueweb:
Unable to stop his smile, Peter felt himself relax as soon as Thor’s hands touched him, completely comfortable in his presence where he wouldn’t be in others. Peter closed his eyes and took a deep breath trying to calm himself down. Yes he was comfortable, but perhaps he was too comfortable. His mind continued to race with thoughts uncertainty and what ifs to everything concerning the large man behind him, which in turn caused him to be less comfortable and more tense. His body began to harden under Thor’s touches and he jumped up. With his back colliding with Thor’s chest, he froze, even forgot how to breathe. Why was he reacting this way? Why was he so scared? Yet at the same time, why was he so comfortable?
Before he let himself get too comfortable though, he walked forward. “Sorry. My, uh leg.. My leg was getting tired.” It was an excuse a terrible one at that. His hand moved to where Thor’s hand connected with his thigh and he blushed profusely, keeping his back to Thor. “I’ll remember that.” He answered, taking a deep breath to calm himself down.
He finally turned back around and offered that awkward, yet seemingly charming smile. “What else you got?”
When Peter jumped up so suddenly, Thor was startled as well and flinched out of habit. He held the sides of Peter's arms when he fell back, catching the younger effectively. He looked down to make sure that Peter was alright, wondering what had gotten into him so suddenly. Their bodies were pressed pretty close to one another. Luckily, Peter's weight was certainly not enough to make the norse god stumble back when he crashed against his chest. "Are you alright?" he asked, arching his brow a bit as Peter moved away. Something was not right but Thor simply brushed it off. He smiled back at the other and nodded shortly. "How skilled are you in enemies attacking from behind?" he asked. "I know hand to hand combat may not be your strength, perhaps a bit of wrestling?" he smirked. Before Peter could respond, Thor pushed Peter onto the patted mat below them, careful to let not Peter crash onto it. The blond pinned down his wrists and smirked. "Always be ready, young Peter." His strong legs bracketed Peter's.
Sparring Practice - Thor & Peter
The sexual aspect of Thor bare chested would never be ignored and would always be distracting in Peter’s mind, though at the same time, to be aware of all his surroundings, as Thor had mentioned, he must put that aside to concentrate on the danger that could be surrounding him. This man was supposed to be a God, was a God, but was more of a brother to him, yet he couldn’t stop the looks he gave the Thunder God as his arms crossed his chest. Shaking his head, he followed Thor’s instructions and positioned himself, crouching with one leg out, the other ready to push him up if he needed to jump. One hand was out behind him from any enemies that might come up from behind as the other was on his four fingers and thumb. His eyes lifted to Thor’s and he smirked.
"Very good," Thor approved with a small smile. "I would say your only weak spot is your left side, where it is too far for your left hand to reach and your right hand does not reach. If an enemy attacks you from this point, it might be too late for you to defend. But I am sure if you quicken your reflexes, you will have very good defenses." Thor came a bit closer, standing behind Peter and lowering the other's shoulders. "Be calm. If you are too tense, your injuries will stun you more. It also helps you attack faster." Thor's large warm hands pressed down until Peter's shoulders were at a good height. "Good," he praised with a small smile. Thor also pushed peter's crouching leg in a bit more. "You don't want your leg to be too far out, or else an enemy could pull it and send you to the floor."
