"My friends, I am worried. I believe Kier is sick."
"Any idea what's wrong with him?"
Wrong!
It just might take me an even dozen.
I'm surprised they haven't banned you from the beaches yet.
Why can't you figure this out now and save yourself the trouble?
Well I may have tried six seven or…nine times but who’s counting?
So it's taken you almost ten times to figure this out?
I have recently been informed that just because you show up naked at a beach and claim it in the name of the nudes that doesn’t’ actually make it a nude beach.
Only now you're figuring this out? How many times have you tried to claim a beach for the nudes anyway?
Sometimes I think I ought to worry about you.
"Clearly some of you Midgardians know not how to care for a book."
"Whether one enjoys it or not, it should matter not."
"It shouldn't, I get that. Doesn't mean you have to make a big deal out of it."
He shrugged. “Yeah, well it’s not ‘the student’ thing for me, so…” He stuck out his tongue and shot his web at the professors groin, just for fun before he laughed and shot out his webs to pull himself onto the roof. “Just admit it, you like me~”
Logan rolled his eyes, not looking as annoyed as he usually might get. He pulled off what webbing he could before looking at Peter, "I don't have to admit to anything that isn't true." His tone stayed light, slightly amused.

A deep sigh escaped the trickster’s lips as he walked through the rows of shelves, his emerald gaze scanning the different books, selecting the ones that were in the worst state. It was merely a fluid motion of his hand and light, green smoke appeared from thin air, twirling and coiling like a hungry snake, slipping in between books and tomes and taking out the ones he chose.
It was ridiculous, really, the amount of books he could find that were in a bad state, whether it was merely a page with a ripped corner, or as much as broken spines and stained covers, it made great annoyance grow inside him.
The palace library back in Asgard could easily be the largest in the realms, equalled, perhaps, only by Freyja’s own library in Vanaheim. Books that went from children stories to the most ancient of tomes adorned each of the endless shelves and walls of the library, each of them carefully selected and placed in its proper place. Of course, he was aware that not everyone was as careful as he was, but yet there weren’t many books in Asgard’s library that were in bad conditions. It had been more than one occasion in which he had found a stained page, a bent cover, or a broken spine, and he had used his magic to restore them. And so, with a still growing pile of damaged books floating behind him, he made his way to a nearby table, sitting down and starting on his task of fixing them.
By chance Logan had to find a book for something, not for himself of course, but for Xavier. The only reason he was concerned with finding it, was mainly because it involved him in the process. Xavier was doing some research on amnesia again, but they decided to take a different approach. Strenuous situations could've been the cause of it, but Logan still wasn't sure. Either way, he knew he needed to find the book and bring it to Xavier.
He began looking among the shelves, searching for the book when he noticed spots in the shelves that once held books. All the spots were random, and the books seemed to be missing, including the one he was looking for. Logan began searching around, determined to find the book before seeing a book floating around, seeming to travel after something. What the?
Logan followed after the source, pausing when he saw Loki. Of course it had been him for it explained why all the books were suddenly floating. "What are you doing?" He asked, his tone more curious than condescending as he looked at the stack of worn books, each looking worse for the wear than most books here.
"You’re so full of it!" Peter smiled warmly and tilted his head curiously.
"I know." Logan chuckled, shaking his head. "Really, though, it has to be the teaching thing." He wasn't normally like this, at least when he was living alone.
"Clearly some of you Midgardians know not how to care for a book."
"The state some of the library books are in is ridiculous."
"Not everyone cares for reading like you might."
Is it the teaching thing, or do you care about me, professor?” Peter smiled in a slightly teasing manner.
"It's the teaching thing." Logan shook his head, smirking slightly. He was half kidding; he honestly did care about Peter, not that he would say it out loud.
"You used to nag me about shit like that before too and I’ll tell you now what I told you then. nagging isn’t sexy not unless you’re Fran."
"Still the same old Jamie. Who's Fran?"
"Well it helps that I can’t die for good so even if I fuck up it’s like mildly inconvenient instead of permanent. Thanks for that by the way. It’s my favorite addition teleportation is a close second and eye beams def come in third man."
"No problem. That and you can't accidentally leave your swords anywhere. Which is both a good thing and a bad thing."
Peter gave a slight shrug and looked down. “I don’t know..” He really didn’t know what else to tell or say to the professor if he was convinced to continue his quest.
He bit his bottom lip and nodded. “It won’t happen again, alright?”
"I'm hoping it'll come to me." Logan shrugged, leaving it at that.
"Yeah, I know. Sorry." He could get carried away easily, but he never expected it to be over something like that. "This teaching thing is going to my head."
"If that is true and you continue to ask, realizing it’s truly as bad as you can imagine, will you regret asking?"
Peter sighed. “I know I did, but I thought I was going to see Aunt May. Then I didn’t think he would be that tough. And I didn’t really get a chance to ask his name.” Peter shrugged, running a hand through his hair.
"No. Yes. I don't know. I've seen pieces of things, stuff I hardly remember, and none of it makes sense."
"You could've told someone where you were going. We could've found you faster. If I hadn't found you when I did, where would you be?" Logan paused, realizing Peter had probably dealt with enough of it, "What did he look like?"
"Nope, never. Thinking is for rubes."
"Explains a lot then. How have you made it this far without thinking? I just don't get how you're still here."
"Maybe it’s your minds way of telling you not to remember because remembering will hurt too much? Some kind of form of PTSD?" Peter suggested, licking his lips lightly.
"Yeah. For the most part at least. Physically I’m fine, but I keep getting scowled at by the professors." Peter looked down. "Can’t help but admit how freaked out I am by how beat up the guy left me.."
"That could be true. Just, if my mind doesn't want me to know, how bad is it really?"
"You did run off and not tell anyone." Logan pointed out, "Who was the guy anyway? I saw what he did, and I can't think of a single thing that might do that."
