What if the whole point was to go off in various directions and conduct field research? To experience as much as humanly possible in order to collectively feel the full spectrum of human emotion? And what if, the water that puts out flames still burning from past pains came in the form of sharing with eachother our wisdom and woes? What if, by exchanging the lessons we’ve learned, by helping eachother decipher what lessons lay tangled in piles of trash we’ve amassed from the past in an effort to move forward, what initially presented as dark and dirty and disruptive metamorphosed into a deeper understanding of the self, the environment, and the fragile connection between the two, than we ever thought possible? That the bridge between hurting and healing was a body, a mind and a soul; the means by which to cross, a voice. That leaning in would make one whole and eliminate the possibility of blunder. What if our only mistake was leaning away from eachother?
