Suffragette Memorabilia
One of my older photos (from November last year) that I don't think I shared, so here it is for Women's History Month.
Last year a huge collection of Women's Suffrage memorabilia which once belonged to Lilian and Amy Hicks, mother and daughter who were both active in the Women's Social and Political Union. It went up for auction and I went to see it before the sale.
The collection includes a hunger strike medal (I believe that's in the bottom right), Holloway brooch (the little gate-looking item at the bottom above the note) and of course many sashes and badges.
According to the auction house website, it sold for £30,720
