Dawn breaks over Darjeeling. The summit of Mt. Kangchenjunga and its nieighbours are already bathed in morning light whilst the townsfolk are still rubbing the sleep from their eyes. Kangchenjunga is the world's third highest mountain at 8,586 metres (28,169 ft). The name is Tibetan and means 'Five Treasures of the High Snow.' It actually sits on on the border of India and Nepal about 75 kilometres north of Darjeeling town.
