Adjusting the Sail.....

Observations on life. There will be storms that you have no control over, but you can try to adjust the sails on your ship to get through....... Life is journey, and only God knows where it will lead. So be of good spirits and make the most of the journey. Photographs like memories are but snapshots of life. Contained on these pages are snippets of my life journey. When I find something that inspires me, I also share it, maybe it will be of value or inspiration to someone else too. One of two halls Exhibition Hall that flank the World War I Memorial Tower in Kansas City Missouri at dusk. A beautiful black 1936 Chevrolet Coupe at the Kansas City Automotive Museum which is located just outside of KC in Olathe Kansas which has an interesting section called “drive-in” that features an section that curated with different themes every few months as well as the main exhibition is ever changing. A beautiful dusk sky reflecting upon the glass skylights of the World War 1 Museum in Kansas City Missouri this past week where I & my lovely damsel arrived for a week to support an effort at a lab across the border in Kansas. Kansas City’s beautiful and elegant Union Station as viewed at from the hill where the World War I Memorial and the Kansas City Skyline. Union Station opened in 1914 when the first train, the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Flyer arrived at the station. It has held up well celebrating its 100th year. It’s a beautiful view from up at the monument that I wanted to share with my damsel who actually lived not far from Kansas City years ago and had never been up here. From this view you can see how immense the station is. The War to End All Wars is how World War I was often referred to, I image when the World War I Memorial opened in 1926 that everyone who was there including US President Calvin Coolidge genuinely believed that, not knowing that a Second World War would occur is what really was a short time span afterwards. Regardless the WW I Memorial and Museum perched on a hill above Kansas Cities Historic Union Station overlooking the Kansas City Missouri skyline is a marvelous structure. This view with the dusk skies I was able to capture while capturing images of the skyline because my ever vigilant sweet damsel spotted the wonderful contrast of the lighted monument against the sky of dusk. My sweet lady has a wonderful photographic eye and for that & many many other wonderful things I feel fortunate and blessed to have her in my life.
