Not too bad
I know it's been a few days since I've posted, but that's what midnights will do to a person.
The last few days haven't been too bad with eating better. I've been trying to make sure that I only eat one helping of whatever I am eating at the time because that's my downfall, as I've said before. I have to admit though, I haven't been perfect. I did have some cheetos last night at work with my lunch. :-/
The good things I've been doing is drinking more water (granted its been flavored) and I have run more the past couple days. I'm hoping that Wesley's (my dog) new collar will start fitting him soon so I can train him to walk and jog with me. I think he would be an excellent workout partner, don't you?!
Anyone have any tips on getting rid of the cravings for chips/snacks? Because I've been trying to eliminate them completely, but it is difficult when all I want is something crunchy and salty.
Thanks for listening!
Not a great day
Yesterday didn't go well for my exercise and health. I woke up at noon and didn't get any more sleep before heading to work for a long midnight shift. Recently, I've been working out in the mornings after work, but I couldn't make myself today because of how physically exhausted I was from lack of sleep. I know... excuses, excuses.
However, I didn't overeat or eat things that were terrible for me yesterday. At least I don't believe I did. Jamie made fried chicken, mashed potatoes and baked beans for dinner (which was delicious) and I took those leftovers to work to eat. The things that weren't great for me were the 2 Mountain Dews I drank during the 12 hour shift, but I believe if I fix one problem at a time, then things will start to fall into place. I'm starting with getting out of the habit of overeating and eating junk first.
Tomorrow morning when I get off work, I am going to be working out, no excuses this time. And I think I'm going to do a bunch of cardio tomorrow. Tonight for dinner/lunch I had pizza and chicken from Dominos. Not the healthiest, but I am eating limited portions, and tomorrow is payday for us so we can get some more groceries.
Lets hope things start going the way I want them!

Day 1... the first day to a new me
Hello everyone.
This blog is going to be what I use to hold myself accountable for what I eat, how I exercise, and everything I do that can help me transform myself to a new, healthy lifestyle.
So, day 1 is going to be admissions to what I've been trying to keep hidden from the public eye.
1. Weight - As of today, I weight 230 pounds, and I'm not proud of it, but I guess it's time to own up to it.
2. Guilty Pleasures (Food) - Fried food, especially chicken, ice cream, and pretty much any type of potato chip. Oh, and soda.
3. Exercise - I like to lift weights, but I know that I am lacking in cardio. I hate running and biking doesn't seem to satisfy me or make me feel like I've done anything.
Now, what I need from you, if you want to help me.
1. Keep me accountable! If I post something that isn't good for me, let me know. Don't be degrading about it or mean. Just suggest a way for me to substitute what I've done for something better.
2. Advice! I need advice on healthy meals, ways to make running/exercising fun, ways to break up monotony of exercises.
3. Support! If you see me doing something good, let me know! If you think I'm making progress, tell me! Encouragement and motivation are my biggest downfalls when it comes to this, which is why I'm finally going to own up to my mistakes.
Thanks for reading and I hope you will help me in my journey!
