egotistical sounding post
OKAY SOO.
I feel bad right now, the kind of bad where you’d hurt someone in the end kind of bad. It’s my 2nd day as a first year college student and I didn’t really make any friends since I keep to myself. I do notice that people pay attention to me more now when i speak to them which makes me feel less afraid to talk now. Anyways, thats not the point and ill get into more of all these little cool snippets of conversations with people later.
so I walk into my psych class and i sit in the 3rd row, which is all the way upfront (just because I can’t see that well) and I just pick a lonely seat. A couple minutes later this girl walks up to me and asks “hey is that seat taken”, I then respond “no its empty” and she sits next to me. Before she sat down she had hit my leg with her blue shoe case and she said “Im so sorry”, it didn’t hurt me so i said “its cool, youre good”. she looks at me and says “hey my name is natalie by the way” and i said “my name is victor” “nice to meet you victor” “nice to meet you too” and i smiled mostly due to the fact that someone talked to me. she started the conversation by asking where I was from and I got super anxious and probably made a fool out of myself, but we talked a bit. I had mentioned my mom and how she works at rush when she said she was going to school to be a nurse, but I may have scared her off :/ I should’ve asked better questions but ehh. Anyways, class is about to end but the teacher didn’t dismiss us so she said that it would be rude to leave and she’d feel bad - I liked that. as soon as she said that the teacher dismissed us and i went like “oh damn, you were right, waiting is good”. We are about to get out our seats and she hits my leg again, but this time with the thing we raise to write on, she says “im sorry” and i say “youre good”, then before she leaves she turns to me and asks if i have snapchat and i say “yeah” but the line was getting crowded so we just agreed to go outside for that. I give her my snap, and i say I cant add her until i get my new phone and i pull out my broken ass iphone and she says “OH NOO” “how’d it happen” and instead of giving a good reason, I go on and ramble and she looks uninterested so i just try and rush things and say “alright well, i’ll see you around” and awkwardly left the lecture hall. Did she like me and i made a fool out of myself? probably yes. will she probably be a cool friend to have in class? i hope so, if she sits next to me again idk, that’ll blow my mind. ill try and sit in the same seat next time.
