The end of ThemesbyFlorels

Hi guys! Something that you’ll probably have noticed is that I haven’t been active on this blog for a long, long time. I simply don’t have time for this blog - I barely have time for my personal. It’s just something that I’ve moved on from, I’m nearly finished my university degree and I’ll be going into fulltime work soon.

I’m writing this so that you guys know why I’m not answering any theme-support related questions. I haven’t answered any for months but I feel like I owe you guys an explanation - and I’m sorry!

My themes will stay on this site and will stay up on my pastebin, but I won’t be offering any support for them. I do realise that some of my themes are having a few bugs at the moment, likely due to tumblr possibly changing some codes around on their end.

Because of that and the fact that I’m not going to be doing any coding as such from now on, I give permission for anyone to take my themes, fix them up and publish them. I only ask that the theme maker gives me credit in the code and in the published post.

no i don’t sorry, i just have my lovesick blogroll page :) i can’t really think of any specific blogroll makers off the top of my head, but if you just search ‘blogroll’ into the tumblr search bar it will come up with loads x

hi emma! how do you put the little colored thingy in the top of the theme? like the one in the youth theme, where you put like a song lyric or a quote maybe? thank you :)

Hey there! go check out my tutorials page and find the ‘blog border’ tutorial, under Miscellaneous tutorials. Follow the tutorial, but just note that the tutorial adds in blog borders to each side of your theme (i.e. top, bottom, left, right) if you only want one side then only paste in the code for that specific side x

hi emma! i'm using your dreamers theme and there's a little problem with the posts. they're showing but they're a bit messed up and not in the right order... :-(

Hey there! First of all, make sure that your page is loaded properly - sometimes if you scroll down heaps before you let the page load properly it takes a while for the infinite scroll to work so the posts get jumbled up until the page is fully loaded. If that doesn’t fix it, try reinstalling the theme, it might be that something you added to the theme is playing up with the coding x

hey! how do you make the custom cursor not revert back when hovering over certain parts of the page? (using your fracture theme if you need any further reference)

hi!! id rlly appreciate ur help ive been tinkering w the html for a while but i cant seem to figure out how to disable to hover on my picture posts for the permalink and make it the same as my other posts (texts, photosets, quotes) where its just under the post! im using ur "do u remember" theme!!

Hey there!! What you need to do is to copy the permalink code for the text, photoset and quote posts and paste it where the photo permalink code is :))

The permalink styling for the photo posts is called .buttons and the styling for the other posts is .permalink.

You need to go and find {block:Text} and in between {IndexPage} and {/IndexPage} (this tells the theme to only show inclusive code on the index page) is a section of coding that starts with

and ends with

. This is the coding that uses the .permalink styling, which is what we want to copy.

Once you’ve copied that, scroll down a tiny bit to find {block:Photo} - it’s right underneath the Text post coding. Find the code that starts with

and ends with

, highlight that code and then paste in the code that we copied from the Text post coding :)))) If you do it properly it’ll change the photo permalink to the same as the other posts!

The above instructions might be a bit confusing for some, so in essence, you just need to make sure that the {block:Photo} coding looks like this (the bolded part is what you need to change):

hey!! i love your tutorials, and i have a quick question about the multiple notice boxes, is there any way i can move that to the bottom left hand corner of my blog?

in the #boxiebox coding change top:45px to bottom:45px and right:25px to left:25px. then play with the numbers to position it how you want x

Hey! Do you think you could categorize your themes by the number of columns they have? That way it'll be easier to find the most suitable ones to every person's preferences. Thank you!

the reason i don’t categorise them like that is because pretty much every theme of mine comes in both 2 and 3 columns :) would be silly to categorise them because they all have that option!
