This creative spot was recently launched by Google for their Google Fiber network, which is claimed to be 100 times faster than the Internet speed today. The spot is light-hearted and a great innovative execution in regards to making a “techie” topic relatable and fun for anyone.
This is the new collaborative effort by Toshiba and Intel. They are pushing in out on FB, YT and have multiple HPTOs today on the big sites. Users can view the episodes and have the opportunity to audition from now until Sept 13th for a chance to play one of the characters in the film.
With Social Media on the rise and advertisers jumping on the paid social movement, Facebook advertising in particular has become quite the topic. Augmented reality is an emerging technology that is slowly gaining traction. The adoption rate will increase as the technology advances with image recognition. One company using this technology in the form of an app is Blippar, bringing to life real-world newspapers, magazines, products and posters with instantaneous content and engagement.

The article above describes how NASA teamed up with Tongal, video crowdsourcing and competition site, to create the 2012 Venus Transit Time Capsule Video Contest. Following the notion of staying innovative, and connecting the human network, we thought this as a prime example of utilizing social media as such.
NASA used their Twitter page to inform its followers about the natural phenomenon that occurs roughly every 100 years, where Venus crosses in front of the sun—known as the Venus Transit. They also informed them about the contest, where NASA is allowing users to create their own video time capsules of the event with the company’s sanctioned footage. The aim is to tell the story of this year’s Venus Transit to humans in 2117, when it’s supposed to take place again, and education them about life on Earth now. Social media offers users a platform in which they can distribute any kind of content in unique and innovative ways. A recent article by Nick Bolton highlights a creative approach one user, Adam Parrish, took to disseminate unique content on Twitter.
