The Whirling Ways of Stars That Pass || Abigail and Andrew
“Nice to know it’s good for something.” Abby laughed. It was good to eel like she could smile these days and not have to fake it. Everything just seemed brighter and better now and she needed that. She had her friends and her family and a boy who loved her. It was amazing to finally feel the love she had been missing out on for so long.
“I know. We’ll be in there with our families one of these days.” She teased with a wink. “Of course.” She chuckled, before letting it fall. “Andrew?” She asked, a little more serious. “About the Fates… How much do they tell you?” She asked, wondering if he knew about her past and just why she making visits to the hospital every week. “I was just teasing. No one ever wants to come to the gym with me.” She pouted. “But you really don’t have to come if you don’t want to.”
“Aw, c’mon now, Abigail,” Andrew said, feeling his heart begin to sink a little further into his chest. The heart he was convinced he didn’t actually have. “You’re good for a lot of things. Maybe you don’t see it, but I do,” He assured her. Andrew wished he could shoulder the things that weighed on her. He already spent his time in Hell, surely he could handle it better. His whole existence was based on tortures.
“Then the Greek History classes will learn about how Andrew Cosmos loved Abigail Golden so much that it quite literally killed him to see her get married to a mortal,” Andrew said, his joke eclipsed by the serious tone in his words. He sighed a little, grinning something bright and charming at her. “They tell me as much as they can, when Hades wasn’t too busy hogging their time,” Andrew explained. “No, I mean it. If you want me to come, I’ll come. I’d be happy to.”
