“I learned all about life with a ball at my feet” -Ronaldinho
Started from the bottom now I’m here. From way back, I literally started from the bottom. The moment I knew about soccer was from a News Report saying that the Philippine Football Team won. While watching that certain report, I could feel the rush of the game flowing through my veins that with every kick they make gives me the feeling that I want to be in their position. That’s where everything started, the desire to experience having a ball at my feet. From the streets of our Baranggay, I didn’t know that I could reach this far. Having to experience the City Meet back when I was Grade 5, which then put me in my very first major tournament, Palarong Bicol 2013. From that moment on, Soccer became a part of my life. Every day I would have a ball at my feet dribbling in our garage then playing BU. A year later, City Meet came again, Then Palarong Bicol 2014, which was the most memorable of all. After 14 years, we reclaimed the title of Legazpi City being the Champions in Football Elementary. I was then chosen to be a part of the Bicol Football Team in the Palarong Pambansa 2014 in Laguna. It has opened a whole new world for me, From a simple team in St. Agnes Academy, I was then apart of something big, The Bicol University High School Football Team. Everything was new, From the opponents, to the thrill of the game, and the strive for greatness. Life has given me Soccer. And in my part, I play it with all my heart. It’s not about the glory, the trophy, and the medals. It’s not also about the fans and cheering, the recognition, it’s is all about dedication, hard work, and most of all, Passion. Soccer isn’t something that you can pretend of, it’s a feeling, a passion, and a lifestyle. It may not be my profession, but it will always be my passion.
