Eli: You make for one hell of a boyfriend. It's amazing to think that this is your first relationship. Normally people would make errors along the way but you've been doing incredibly so far. The only way we'll ever be able to strengthen this relationship is by letting go of the things that hold us back. You've apologized countless times. You've explained yourself extensively. I won't hold a grudge against you. See, you're not immune to it so just give up.
Owen: Makes sense. I know, yeah. Okay. Thank you, really. I might not be immune, but avoidance would do the trick in sparing me the entire experience.

Eli: I never thought I'd have any remote interest in sports and now I can say that I actually like football. Of course I just like checking you out in that snug uniform mostly but I digress. We bring out the best in each other and that's what a relationship should be about. It was wrong but you've learned from it. I'm not going to make you suffer for it. I never said I'd play fair with this. Point is, I'd be getting my way. That's all that matters.
Owen: I love knowing you are when I'm on the field, ha. That's because you're too damn nice. But I won't act like I'm not grateful for it because I seriously am. You're lucky you've got that endearing thing going for you, or else I'd avoid you altogether so I wouldn't have to deal with it.

Eli: I love the fact that we are so different though. It keeps things exciting between us. I feel like I've been learning a lot since we got on good terms with one another. You have and you should be proud of yourself for it. It's extremely common, Owen. You did the right thing in making amends and that's all anyone could ask of you. Don't beat yourself up over it anymore, please. We've both come a long way, especially you. I'll start to cry and pout. Whatever it takes to get the guilt going.
Owen: It feels the same with you. That's why I like what we have a lot. I didn't know anything about film and theatre before you and now, I can pretty much spout off everything you've taught me. Eli: I've had my share of artsy guys that were just like me but it never really worked out. You're not that guy anymore. You haven't been for quite some time now. Owen, I've forgiven you for it, okay? You don't have to carry around that guilt with you. We're in such a better place now. It's almost hard to believe we're the same people from a few months ago.
