Yeah, this was meant to be fan art for the Feed the Pit stream. I really like Phisnom's avatar for some reason and I've been meaning to draw it. So, why not combine it with the designs of the cult members? I also like their design, too.
Long story short, chose to draw this at the wrong time where I just have an inexplicable amount of tension that is just turning into a pure "I'm about rip the next thing I see with my bare teeth" type of anger.
So that anger is just making me frustrated with this piece no matter how I look at it and I rarely return to pieces like these. I'm sorry toxic cesspit. Maybe next time.
Personal theory of Janitor used to be being the Intern but then got promoted once the old janitor died since in the book there is also another Janitor.

I also did this cuz there isn’t an official character wiki yet but also so I can write down my interpretations of the characters (headcanons if you will) and also if I missed any detail lmk! Since I’m kinda am forgetful at times

Characters:
The Seeker: The Player Character, seeks out sacrifices | gender kept ambiguous? But later confirmed to be more feminine (debatable)
The Medium: The “parental” Character, fills out empty roles when needed and seems to be more devoted to The Father than the pit. Notable perfectionist and prideful traits as she cannot stand mistakes, thinking she can do better than anyone if she had done the job | Feminine/confirmed female using she/her pronouns
The Acolyte: The inviter, promotes the cult/church to getting more members to join and is overall positive . Actively endorses the cult and making optimistic views on what people would call morbid actions, but then again everyone says something along the same lines but Acolyte in particular seems to truly be a firm believer. Note that Acolyte seems to some degree dislike her past name, preferring her current one | Feminine/confirmed female using she/her pronouns
The Janitor: The cleaner, cleans up the place while just being a relaxed guy, he beliefs in the church but he doesn’t think they’re innocent, he is overall more here for the shelter and community. Watches television frequently | Masculine/confirmed male using he/him pronouns
The Father: The leader/communicator, while blind he leads with confidence, not really showing any noticeable weaknesses. Is a firm believer of the pit, believing to rid all of the greed, war and such to fall. Side trait is that he’s patient, most evidently when he paints in his room | Masculine/confirmed male using he/him
The Elder: The eldest and the most looked over of the members because of their incapability to speak. Notably hates radios | Ambiguous/I didn’t pay enough attention to em I’m sorry I’m part of the problem 💔
The Scout: The guide character, he is basically the tutorial character but he is notably “normal” and is just nice to hang out with. | Masculine/confirmed male using he/him
The Protecter: The guard, keeps everything in check to not let the secret of the sacrifices out but also to protect the other members. Although overtime became more paranoid because he felt bad about supporting the cult | Masculine/confirmed male using he/him
“Elijah” / the pit: a flesh pit with rows of teeth and eyes layering the walls of it. Seems empathetic toward the people and actually wants to stop itself from devouring everything | ambiguous ig? Masc if you count the separate Elijah and it the same being but imma say ambiguous flesh creature
The Cardmaster: The actual card guide/holder. Pretty rude if you get on his nerves yet he’ll still help ya cause it’s his job though he can admit when you have done something good for him | Masculine/confirmed male? He/him?
Rosemary: Bird companion of cardmaster and rhymes within her text. Balances out the rudeness of the cardmaster by encouraging the player and pushing the cardmaster to do the same. | Feminine/confirmed male female? She/her?
Other notes:
Some members experiences a blessing in which their face transforms into an animal one, most noticeably horned animals such as goats, rams, deers and etc.
Medium has a distain towards Scout and Acolyte but won’t admit it out right. Scout for being “nonsensical” with his words and Acolyte for having the Father’s favor.
Elder is related to Acolyte in some way.
The Father seems to know Seeker longer despite Seeker being a new member.
Janitor and Acolyte seem to be the only members who haven’t gotten a blessing (don’t have animal heads) along with Seeker who isn’t 100% confirmed but is implied.
The Medium and The Father seems to be close but The Father seems to favor Acolyte more.
Janitor and Protecter seemed the closest based on comments made by the Janitor.
Father, Medium, Janitor and Elder have a white waist tie.
Acolyte, Scout and Protector have orange/yellow waist tie.
Elijah “ascended” into the pit and ordered them all to sacrifice/rod the rotten people of this world.
Seeker’s real name is Caroline.
On going theory that Cardmaster and The Father used to be either Tobias or Abel because of the knowledge these two have, who is who is unclear currently.
