we spent this past weekend in Connecticut at Foxwoods Resort with Ming’s family. it was a short trip, just about 24 hours, but any amount of time we get to spend with either of our families is precious and we squeezed a lot into that short little trip.
we try to take stock regularly of how lucky we are - to be together, to live where we do, to be close (particularly relationship wise but somewhat distance wise) to our families and to have a network of amazing friends around us whether it’s two doors down or a viber message away - but we are reminded often that time is precious and it’s up to use to use it the best way we can. we get carried away with work and pushing ourselves to do better, which is important, but we have to try to not forget what matters most.
a good motto we try to live by is to use every minute of every day for good. we will keep trying and keep working at it and keep learning from those who’ve done it right.
