From a young age Mary knew she was different. It didnβt take any time at all before she realized there were things she heard and saw that others didnβt, a look into a whole different world. She started to learn how to tell the difference, being more advanced in many ways than some kids twice her age. Mary had a knack for learning and a natural talent for drawing, but she wasnβt much of talker. She had a small vocabulary as a kid but it never held her back, Mary having not too much to say anyway. The girl was quiet, preferring to listen, words werenβt something she needed to say many of for awhile. That was until she watched hunters take her father away forever after telling her to hide and sacrificing himself to save her. Since her mother had died in childbirth, the loss of her father meant sheβd officially become an orphan. After heβd gone the young girl wandered around and eventually stumbled on two teen boys who were smoking in the woods. Mary went up to them and while standing beside them saidΒ βbooβ and that was the closest thing to a name they got from her for a little while. Thatβs when the nickname ofΒ βBooβ was born and she slowly started to talk more as she became more comfortable around them.Β
The boys became like family to her while they let her crash between their houses while on the hunt for more of her family, though when they finally did it wasnβt a happy ending. Her parents never returned home that night and she was orphaned. Mike and Sulley were all she had left so they made sure she was taken care of which meant going to live with her aunt. Boo was able to grow up there, though never telling her aunt about her abilities to keep her safe. The same couldnβt be said for the boys who found out not too long after knowing her. They watched her grow up, though she kept a lot from them, like the bullying. Most of the kids thought she was a freak but Boo didnβt take it to heart, the friends she had were good ones and those were who mattered. She never saw her abilities as something to fear but as a gift. The girl continued to thrive and grow to be comfortable in who she was which included a big future. Boo wanted to help people so she started the process in studying to become a medical examiner. Even those they she canβt talk to deserve to have a voice. is School keeps her busy but she does well and still has enough time to work her shift at the Laugh Floor with her two big boys: Mike & Sulley. Regardless of all the sadness sheβs seen, the girl still finds the joy in a lot of things but not everyone gets to see that side of her. She still can get a little shy around people she doesnβt know well. Still, Boo lives everyday like itβs her last because she knows better than most people that it could be.Β
