New ‘Do [Open]
Eddie glanced down at the magazines. People in this world had such strange obsessions. Most of them were covered with people faces or cars. Perhaps those cars would be useful if Mundo were not so large… 20 minutes huh? Hopefully Diana would leave them alone. She certainly seemed like she wanted to. Maybe they would find something remotely interesting to do after this. Eddie noticed that Mundo was gazing at Diana.
“Old lady! How long you work for!? Mundo have proposition for you!” Eddie hoped this would be an invitation for some killing but… No. He knew it going to be something imbecilic. Perhaps a walk through the park or asking for help looking for his god damn cleaver like he asked everyone else he came across. Looking back at the magazines something caught his eye. “Who is - shlurp- that?!” Mundo was pointing to a huge green man standing on top of a car. Underneath were the words “The Hulk”. Eddie’s eyes widened. Was there someone in this miserable world with a mind as wonderful as his? Was there a place where Mundo could go back to being… Mundo?
Diana had hoped that the magazines had put an end to the unnecessary shit chat between the pair but apparently she had been wrong. And still with that incessant, insulting, nick name.
“I finish at five, when the salon closes, though I will tell you now I doubt I will take up and proposition from you, Mundo.” Gingerly she gestured for him to stand, directing him to the washing station. It was going to be quite the task getting his shoulders to fit along the necessary groove.
Her eyes glanced over the magazine which Mundo was crudely jabbing his swollen fingers at.
“I have no idea,” Her eyes scanned the title, In Theaters Soon! “Though I think it’s fictional, I doubt there are many more out there willing to do this to themselves. My apologies.”
“Now,” She flicked on the water, letting it run over her fingers as it ran from cold to warm. “If you wouldn’t mind leaning back and we can get this over with.”
