The Unrelenting Forward March of Time

Whoa where has the time gone? I feel like I’ve been in hibernation for the last few years and I’m only regaining my strength now. Geez I’m 22 now, married with a kid and working in sales. How did I manage to grow up and become some form of a societal contributing individual? I’ve still got my mouthiness, I guess that’s what makes me such a good car salesman but that’s besides the point. Becoming a mom has been the most notable thing about me *blatantly tries to ignore that my body comes to a close second*

If I Have to Fail a Final, Ima Make it Look Sexy

Cue the horror music and grip your Starbucks coffee because finals are rapidly approaching and I. AM. NOT. PREPARED. 

*panicked screaming*

With is many things still left to be done and time deciding to fast forward by 10, remember to take a moment to figure out what the most important thing you need to acknowledge to go from a finals nightmare hell week to finally finishing the school year strong. YOUR MENTAL HEALTH.

Don’t let the stress sneak up on you and be aware of your mental capacity to endure. Here are some of my go-to studying tips, these 3 bad boys never fail me:

1) Separate your spaces: keep your studying space and lounge space separate, trust me it makes a difference. Due to the context that is attributed to each environment, this means that if you study in your lounging space, chances are you're gonna feel the urge to lounge rather than study. Some times I take a blanket with me to library and find a comfortable corner to settle down in

2) Study music: DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUDY MUSIC. My god, this was how I passed Statistics, barely. It’s gonna sound weird at first but once you get into the flow of things you realize that it becomes easier to focus and put your thoughts into words.

3) Prioritize tasks: remember study smarter not harder. By prioritizing your tasks you complete them in order of urgency that way you’ll also be learning how to manage your time well and much better than you did before.

As for me this finals season, I’m gonna try something new. A new tactic that helped in other aspects of my life. Usually when I have bad days and I can’t seem to shake the thundercloud above my head, I do my makeup and glam myself out. It never fails to make me feel better. I may feel like shit, but I will never look like it. So in hopes of getting a better grade, I’m going to dress up for everyday that I have a final and just like I slayed my makeup, I’m gonna slay  my finals.
