I need to know Chariot's motivation for joining her before I can contribute to the answer.

Did she join Croix just to have a reasonable chance of being with her again? Is she truly that impulsive?

Does she have something to gain from it? Does she want the world-altering magic she was supposedly destined to gain years ago?

Does she want to observe and betray Croix at the last moment?

I belive it's or she is desperate for her friendship and love ones again even if that means sacrificing everything

SHe missed and loved her so much all those years

It wasn't as impulsive as you may think she was longing for her all these years looking at the picture of what had being and isn't again

And not wanting to miss her chance 1 more

And she is so so desperate to not lose her again to not lose her this time

Her 1 last chance no matter what

I apologize. I haven't been on Tumblr a lot and didn't see this. I don't even know if I would have made the initial reblog I did back then now.

I think it'd be fun it explore. It's a tad out of character IMO, but that isn't horribly important, especially in the context of something like a fanfiction.
