Today was SO much fun. Nick and I went on a little day trip to the stunning Bampton, Oxfordshire to take a look at some of locations used in Downton Abbey. I’m not kidding,  it gave me the fuzzies just being there. I was excited to find the “hospital” as that gave me some amazing Branson feels, but just being there, seeing the church - I can’t explain it. It was also surprisingly sad to think that this is where Sybil and Matthew are “buried.” This bloody show has ruined me :)

In all honesty though, if you ever have the chance to visit, you should Not only is it cool to spot things from the show, it’s also a really gorgeous little village. It’s places like that, that make me remember just how beautiful my little country is.

If you do happen to visit Bampton though, just don’t eat their Victoria sponge cake ;)

Pretty in pink retro: Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt continues her period style off screen in dusky skirt suit at Empire Awards

She’s known for her housemaid character on period costume drama Downton Abbey.

But it seems Joanne Froggatt has established her own retro style off screen as well.

The actress appears to be favouring the swinging sixties style as she not only wore a look reminiscent of the era during promotional duties in New York before Christmas, but again went for a retro look on Sunday night.

Okay, here goes...

1. Rockface - I didn't know who he was at the time apart from the fact that he was very tasty!

2. Mr Bates... of course!

3. I don't mind really as long as I see him as often as possible. Preferably as a romantic hero I think, mainly because I love him so much as John Bates.

4. I love his eyes but especially when he smiles and they crinkle at the edges. Also love that gorgeous smile, and his delicious chest... oh and his hair... okay, I can't decide!
