English Teaching Fellowship:
The English Teaching Fellowship is a social initiative created by Heart for Change and the Colombian National Ministry of Education that seeks to bring qualified university graduates, especially English graduates, to teach English in public educational institutions throughout the country in order to build a bilingual Colombia.
What are the benefits of the program?
Fellows will receive an ESL teaching certification upon completion of a training course before they begin their placement from an internationally certified University in Bogota, Colombia.
They will be working alongside experienced Colombian co-teachers and have a support system through a Regional Coordinator.
They will have the experience to practice their skills in a new environment, have students from different backgrounds as well as learn new teaching techniques.
Participation in this program is free of cost, and also offers a monthly stipend of $1'500,000 COP (approximately $650), a Colombian VISA, a Colombian ID and national flights to each fellow.
The English Teaching Fellowship program offers a safe, supportive, and fun environment to immerse yourself in a new culture as well as the ability to learn and grow in professional and personal ways.
Live and work in a cross-cultural environment.
Learn and master Spanish.
Travel around Colombia: Amazons to the Andes and from the Pacific to Caribbean coast.
