(( Hey guys I still exist I just keep forgetting about this blog. If anyone wants me on Discord I’m DNA#1494
asksynergyaurapalm:
The Synergy duplicate took a deep breath. He looked at the man he was going to shoot in the eyes. Finality. Bliss. Oblivion. It was perfect. And every awful thing he knew would leave with him.
“A bit too late ‘hero’“ He said. So this is what that felt like. He began to squeeze the trigger when he felt two familiar arms grab him. They gripped his hand tightly.
“Mind if we cut in?” Two other Synergy duplicates, dressed in his usual hero gear said pulling him away.
“Wait, no-no, NOOOOOOO!” he yelled, as they tossed him over the hood of the limo and into the street. The main Synergy ran up, kicking the him in the chest. His head bounced off the pavement, his helmet making a loud THOK sound.
Aura Palm showed up a second later, round housing four of the rogue duplicates. He took a fighting stance and glared at them.
“Nice jackets, there a motorcycle show in town.”
A number of the main Synergy duplicates droned.
“Leave the quips to us man,” Synergy said, turning towards Heca. “We got these chumps, get this guy and his family out of here!”
Heca looked at Synergy, her mind racing. All five of them.
Though in real life, Heca just looked like she was only doing an awkward pause for a few seconds, as if stunned, on the inside...
“NO NO NO NO NO!” “Oh god okay what do we do?” “Go through with it! Finish it yourself!” “No! Run! What if we lose our job?! Heca’s worked too hard for this!” “Shut up, Speedy!” “Don’t you tell her to shut up!!!” “Oh, so now we’re going to listen to the fucking lazy-ass?” “Leave him alone! Guys! C’mon!”
Heca was stuck. She didn’t know what to do. She was trying to drown out the voices in her head.
Suddenly, Dex took control of the ‘dex’ arms. She propelled Heca foward toward the car and Heca and the other arm brains followed in step almost immediately. Arms curled around the family and gently pulled them out of the car.
“Sorry everyone, this is the quickest way, and your safety is my priority!”
‘You could make it look like an accident.’ ‘How?’
Heca started moving the family away from the car, looking back at Synergy and Aura Palm.
asksynergyaurapalm:
He watched Heca walk down the sidewalk, away from him. A tiny part of him screamed out to run after her and forget all this, maybe enjoy a day together talking about how silly all that drama was and then return to the original Synergy.
Give the original all the knowledge he had learned.
And knowingly ruin the original’s life.
He turned away from her. He wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Especially himself. The family made their way to the limo, smiling happily. But perhaps a bit too tight lipped. Synergy adjusted the motorcycle helmet and his gloves one last time.
He grabbed a series of weapons from the dufflebag. Axes, bats, knives, and even a pistol. He made 8 duplicates. After being away from the original, this was all he could do.
“Being the world’s greatest detective fucking blows.” He said, shooting the tires out on the limo.
His duplicates were seemingly more tactical than the original Synergy’s and quickly flanked them before they could even attempt to run back into the house. One dupe punched the drive out before he could even attempt diving on flats. He need to keep the area tight. Two guards stepped out of the limo but were quickly incapacitated.
And then there was him.
“Why did you let this happen!” He yelled, pretending as if this man had wronged him.
Heca kept walking. She debated as to whether or not she should run away. Run away, down an entire bottle of cold medicine, and pretend that this had all been a fever dream.
But she couldn’t do that. Luwalhati Amihan couldn’t run away from someone in need.
Even if that one person was herself.
At Synergy’s cue, Heca spun around and flew into action. Arms out, her most convincing glare on, charging at the limo like a bat out of Hell. Well- It was a bit more like a spider.
“Hey! Stop right there, motherfuckers!” Heca shouted at the ‘villains’. Heca purposefully went for the Synergy dupes closest to her and not necessarily the one who was attacking the prime target, just in case he needed more time.
She might not have been a villain today, but she sure as hell didn’t feel like a hero.
ok so y’all asked to see rage fight so here ya go. (I’m going to be doing some more later on so be on the look out for more in the future) it’s pretty messy but that’s ok
asksynergyaurapalm:
“No, I want you to actually fucking kill me. Or more accurately, once the cops show up, him me a bit and then I’m just gonna do what we duplicates do and *POOF* out of existence. Or I guess return to existence. I am just a pile of charged ionic particles merely imitating a human form to serve the purposes of whatever my creator deems for me because I’m not real, after all. He said, standing up and cracking his knuckled.
“Go hide somewhere, you’ll know when I’ve got him.” He said as the limo pulled up. From the windows by the door he could tell the man and his family were nearly ready to come ouy He looked at Heca.
“You know, this whole sending dupes to learn thing never really works after a certain point? A dupe taking a local cooking class while doing hero work isn’t the same as sending one half way across the world to…essentially become a different person. Either they get killed and dispersed because once again, loosely held together charged particles. Or they gain their own lives and…well, knowing what I know about the world, I don’t want to live anymore.”
Heca doesn’t say anything.
She doesn’t have anything to say.
She looks at him and nods, before walking along the sidewalk, away from him.
asksynergyaurapalm:
“Well, that’s the funny thing…you don’t have to do a damn thing but be a big goddamn hero.” He said, checking his watch a third time. He looked at the house and saw a man comparing suits. He realized his blinds were open and casually closed them.
“You know, there was a good bit on what you did to that man but very little on what he did. As if someone was doing everything in their power to cover up for him. But why? He wasn’t important, he was nobody, it was just a random awful thing..right?” He said, clearly enjoying himself speak.
“Heca, he was apart of something bigger and vile. And the head of it all is in the house across from us. Claims to be a man of the community, lives in a nice home where his door is always open, donates to causes here in Japan. The amount he donated of his own resources to help during disaster is truly astonishing.” Sarcasm and cynicism dripped in his voice.
“He’s too powerful and too trusted for anyone to speak against what the man in that house has allowed other men to get away with. I have all the information to prove what he’s done wrong…but there’s no way I’m going to be able to ever to stop him and all the other men he supports. Not while he’s breathing.” He pulled a duffle bag out from under the bus stop.
“All my info is about to be sent out. In a few minutes a limo is going to pick him up to take him and his family to a charity event. I’m to attack them. I”m going to end him. And then you’re gonna swoop in and stop me.”
A limo slowly made it’s way down the street.
“......”
Heca didn’t know what to say. Was there anything she could say?
She sighed. She looked at the Synergy duplicate.
“So... You want me to feebly attempt to stop you after he’s already dead?” Her voice had a sudden eagerness to it.
asksynergyaurapalm:
“I’ll take that as a yes and a yes,” He said calmly.
“Sorry about the crypticness I…I haven’t really interacted with people in awhile. The past few months I’ve solved about 532 individual criminal cases. At least 200 something of those were cold cases or just completely unseen crimes being committed in peoples backyards. And that’s only counting what I’ve looked into in Japan.” He said, sounding rather sad as opposed to smug.
“But anyway, third question: what if I told you I could simultaneously get all reports of what you did AND help you catch more monsters like the guy you took down.”
Heca shakes her head.
“Chris- No. I can’t- I can’t do that kind of thing anymore. I have a full-time job. I have kids who look up to me. I- I can’t jeopardize my job like this. Especially now that I nearly have a full-time schedule of being a hero. I’ll get caught or something.”
asksynergyaurapalm:
“Slow down, slow down, guys like me just aren’t used to…existing for this long. Especially handling the things I’ve had to recently…” He put his hand on his head, tapping the helmet slightly.
“I haven’t done anything with him. Haven’t gone to see him or AP either. I haven’t spoken to him in months.” He snapped his fingers in slight frustration.
“C’mon you’re smarter than this? If ‘Chris’ wanted to, he could go back to the US and work a job that pays 10.75 an hours, making 86 dollars a day. If he did that every single day for a year he’d make 31,390 dollars. If him and only 7 other duplicates did that at similarly paying jobs he could make nearly over 200,00 dollars in a single…but that’s not fair and probably not legal.”
He checked his watch again and groaned.
“Instead he does this. One of us is learning to be a pilot in Europe. Another is learning to meditate in Tibet. And me?”
He shrugged.
“I might just be the best damn detective in Japan, if not the world. You get it now?”
Heca relaxed a bit, realizing that this specific Chris is a part of his big ol’ hivemind and not some actual, random impostor. “You should’ve told me you were a duplicate to begin with.”
She sits back down, side eyeing him suspiciously for a second before deciding that it was okay to fully relax herself. She shook her head.
“What the fuck were you...” Heca’s eyes widen and she seems to be staring off into space for a few seconds. “Right. Thanks.” She says, seemingly to nobody in particular.
“So... I- At first I felt bad about it, I guess, like- Maybe, maybe he really was innocent or whatever, and I just- After that trial, a woman came up to me, sobbing. And I thought... I thought it was someone else who was angry at me. Because like, y’know, his family and all that... Even though he was a villain, there was still- Nevermind.” Heca shakes her head, “This woman comes up to me, and she- She just hugs me. And she says to me, ‘Thank you’.”
Heca was avoiding looking at him. “And ever since then, I didn’t feel bad about it. I- I joined heroics to help people. And- And even if a lot of the people who I ‘helped’ in that situation were more of theoretical future victims... I helped her. I helped her son. They can rest easy knowing that fuck is probably rotting in Hell.”
asksynergyaurapalm:
“Chris? Oh right, that’s my name…” He said, genuinely confused for a moment. “Funny thing, I didn’t mean to come across it. It just sort of crossed paths with another investigation of mine and well, here we are.”
He looked at a watch Heca had never seen Synergy own. It was cracked slightly.
“So, I need to ask you three questions: Do you feel bad about what you did? Would you do it again?”
“What do you mean ‘oh, right’-” Heca stands up, abruptly.
“Who the fuck are you? Where’s Syngery? If you did something to him, I swear to fuck, you’re going to have to pick a god and pray-”
asksynergyaurapalm:
“Can we not do this?” He said, clearly tired and aware of Heca’s heightened stress. “I pretty much have a whole folder on you and all this. Awhile back you killed a pedophile. You managed to avoid going to jail, but were essentially restricted from doing traditional combat-based hero work and switched full time to rescue operations and soon working at U.A.”
He leaned back on the bus stop bench, as if trying to get comfortable. But he just couldn’t. He was stiff and seemingly exhausted.
“It wasn’t hard info to find you know? This information. It’s not secret, just not well-reported…” He said, flexing his hand as if trying to get circulation going.
“Now please, sit…ya look kinda weird standing like that. Oh, and put your arms away please…or don’t if they make you comfortable, I don’t really give a damn.”
“This is what I get for having friends,” Heca mutters, mentally telling her arms to get the fuck back inside her body. She reluctantly sits down next to him.
“Alright, Chris, why, pray tell, the fuck did you decide to go around snooping in my personal life.” Heca looked around a bit and lowered her voice. “It wasn’t necessarily something worth covering up, but there’s a reason why I don’t want that kind of shit out in the open...”
She sighed, “That kind of thing isn’t good on a hero record, especially for someone who’s publicly known to work at a place like UA.”
asksynergyaurapalm:
“Hello Heca…” He said, opening the motorcycle helmet for a second to show his face before closing it again. He motioned towards the bus stop in front of a row of relatively large, decent houses. The street was empty, everyone else either at work or attending school. U.A had gotten out early today on account of villain activity near the school.
“Let’s take a seat. I sorta have to talk to you about something. Mainly, the time before you chose to become a rescue based hero…or should I say before you were sort of forced to.”
Heca walks up to him without much to say, since she was still curious as to why he wanted to meet in the middle of nowhere.
Synergy’s statement came as a surprise to her, and instinctively several arms shot out of her back, but still short enough to stay hidden under her poncho.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she says, flatly.
asksynergyaurapalm:
He chuckled slightly.
“It’s okay. Take your time. That’s what I like about you.” He looked across the street at a small house. “Never afraid to go the distance and give scum of the Earth what they deserve!” He coughed slightly.
“I’m texting you an address, get here when you can. Oh and punch the jerk for me-or just get a few my dupes around the school to help out.”
“It’s alright, w- I-I got it myself. Y’know, ‘Army of One’ and all that jazz...” Her voice fades out as Heca notices something else. “Oh. The police are here. Well, that cuts my work short. Hey, I gotta wrap this dude up, so see you soon, I guess.”
Click.
After all that nonsense, Heca checks her phone for the address and goes to the place promptly. “... He wanted me to meet here?”
@themultitaskhero
He stood outside on a street and dialed Heca’s number. He looked around, taking another mental sweep of the streets. He must’ve done this at least a dozen times today let alone the few hundred dozen times he’d done this for the past few weeks. He stood in civilians clothing with a motorcycle helmet on, as opposed to his usual open visor helmet. Someone picked up the phone.
“Hello, Heca? It’s me Synergy. Can you meet me somewhere? I sorta need to talk to you about something important.”
Synergy could hear a “Oh? ‘Sup, dude? What do you need?” with a bunch of crashing noises in the background.
“Hang on, give me a second...” She said before there was a slightly muffled, “Hey! Don’t you think you can run away from me just because I’m on the phone!” combined with more crashing noises and a car alarm going off in the background.
“Sorry, Synergy. Some villain was being a little bitch right outside UA an- Yeah! You! You’re the bitch!”
asksynergyaurapalm:
“Hmmm…” Cloud Ryder said, the gears in his head turning. “Something about your quirk. It seems oddly familiar-”
“We should eat some of Heca’s arms.” Synergy and his duplicates said unison.
Aura Palm and most of the class turned to Synergy, absolutely confounded. Cloud Ryder was laughing so hard he nearly fell off his cloud. He wiped away a tear and took a few deep breaths.
“Oh Brigade Boy, how I’ve missed you insight wrapped in humor.” He said, before turning back to Heca.
“We should talk later, I had some rather interesting rescue missions of my own,” He drifted back towards the class. “But for now, who wants to go outside and play in a cloudy wonderland of my own creation.”
The students were already out the door, glad to be out of class for the day.
“Come now,” Cloud Ryder said. “Even teachers should have fun.”
Heca seemed relieved, but confused at Synergy’s sudden outburst.
“Don’t eat my arms, you might die or something!” She exclaimed with a laugh.
“I uh- I’d like to talk to you, too?” It was more of a question than an agreement, but she nodded to Cloud Ryder and went outside with the rest of them.
asksynergyaurapalm:
Cloud Ryder squinted at Heca, looking at their face, then their quirk arms, then their face again. He drifted around Heca on his cloud, fascinated and seemingly amused.
“And what about you, my dear? Another teacher I presume! Been giving my pupil advice? Do any current hero work of your own? Your costume is simple, almost stealthy and-” He motioned to one of her arms.
“I like the color of your arms, “ He said with a smile. “What…are they?”
Heca had been gesticulating this entire time using several quirk arms. Her real arms were folded under her poncho. She seemed to get a bit nervous at this old guy eyeing her so closely. Did he recognize her from that...?
“I’m a teacher here too, just like good ol’ AP here!” a blue arm pats Aura Palm on the back just a bit too hard. “I do disaster relief and search-and-rescue stuff with the kids! I’m all about finding creative ways to use quirks! With as many arms as I can make, you pick up a ton of new tricks....”
She looks at one of her arms. “I have no idea what they’re made out of, but it’s similar to a plastic...”
((My joke headcanon voice for Heca is now the fucking dude from You Suck At Cooking
The kitchen exploded
3scientists:
His cheeks tinted pink in embarrassment and instinctively grabbed his arm. “…That.. would be a big help…” he muttered, “..ah, that is if you don’t mind, uhm, Ms. Teacher-with-really-cool-blue-arm-things..”
“You- Can you think of something else to call me? That’s too long of a nickname.”
She closes her eyes and shakes her head. “Can’t you call me like- I dunno- 100-san? Mom-sensei? I dunno, what else are the kids calling me these days...” Heca brings up a blue hand to her chin in thought.
