Every Day is Character Development Day

Put one in my ask box and don't forget to reblog it yourself.

Chief: What are my character's biggest character flaws/ego defenses? Do they succumb to self-deprecation, self-destruction, martyrdom, stubbornness, greed, arrogance, impatience, or all of the above? Which one of these traits do they hate the most?

Persona: What does my character's mask look like? How do they want others to see them, and how far are they willing to go to uphold this act? Do they know of it's existence, and do they willingly control it?

Shadow: If my character was allowed to act in the most selfish, destructive, immature way possible, what would they do? Is my character more likely to hide their negative traits, express them directly, project them into the real world, attempt to heal them, or just simply accept them?

Fear: What is it that my character is most afraid of when it comes to their own personal demons? Do they suffer from feelings of inadequacy, helplessness, worthlessness? Do they fear change, not having enough, being vulnerable, or maybe mourn lost opportunities?

Goal: If my character were to choose one of these as their ultimate goal, what do I think they would choose? The choices are dominance, growth, and acceptance.

the whole thing about Cas being manipulated by angels is actually sadder than I first realized.

Cas was one of the very few angels who believed in free will. He rebelled. He tried to teach the other angels about free will too.

And now, what are the angels doing? They’re taking his free will away from him again. Something he fought so hard for.
