And being constantly deprived of affection?
Sakura looks always absolutely jaded, deadbeat, worn out and all the above, and you want me to like SS?
With her constant fake smile that everything is okay when it’s not?
In what universe does SS seem like a healthy relationship?
Look, I have nothing against the ones who ship SS in fanon. And even in canon. But at least admit the toxicity and problematic aspect of your ship. Stop romanticizing the idea that these relationships are okay, because they’re not!
God forbid you ever enter in such a relationship, and i mean it! Because then you’ll understand why this kind of relationship is so wrong on so many levels.
But sadly it seems that big media nowadays likes so much to romanticize relationships like these, especially when it comes to younger audiences... because they eat this garbage with no filter and think it’s okay.
And then you wonder why so many cases of abuse...
Like it all you want, I’m not judging YOU or your preference. I’m judging what YOU LIKE. The idea. The message. The legacy. Not you.
Because at one point in life you’ll hopefully understand why this kind of relationship isn’t one to strive for. I honest to God hope that you do it before it’s too late. That’s all I’ saying.
So yeah, this is the reason I don’t like SS. This and oh... if you have the patience to read through an almost 4000 words meta, this is another reason why I don’t like SS.
I’ll never like it, never support it, never condone it. Because there’s nothing to like about it. It degrades both characters.
And trust me... This is coming from an ex SS.
