New powerhead from Polario. Really good so far kicked up loads of crap off the rock work. It’s bi-directional too and ramps up and down over 20secs to simulate waves. Much, much better that the fluval CP2 I had before, that was a waste of money.
Found this little dude munching on algae last night. Doesn’t seemed to have bothered my Green Star Polyps yet so he can stay. Got two Stomatella snail hitchhikers too and a bristleworm.
Update 26/5/16
I’ve now got Chaeto in the sump which is slowly out competing the algae in the tank. I’m running carbon and rowephos too. Seems to have improved the water quality. I’m going to get Ca and kH test kits next as calcium and hardness are crucial for coral growth.

Great little action shot of the clowns after the same mysis shrimp
Clowns are in. Just waiting on a digital thermometer off amazon to replace the one on the glass.
Setup issues
I set the tank up last week and had a few teething problems along the way.
The return pipe to the sump had a hairline crack that seemed to hold for a while and then spray saltwater everywhere. The filter sock was missing from the tank too.
Maidenhead Aquatics in Taunton were excellent in rectifying the issues with the tank despite the fact that the fault lay with AquaOne not them so big thumbs up for that. If you are into the aquarium hobby in Somerset they are worth checking out.
I got my live rock from Watermarque Aquatics in Yeovil as it is much nearer my home and the less time the rock is out of the water the less die off you have so the less time to cycle.
I used Red Sea live sand along with the rock. I find this setup gives an ultra fast cycle my ammonia levels peaked on day three and disappeared shortly after.
My tank parameters are currently Temp 26C Salinity 1.026 PH 8.1 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0-5ppm(my test kit is barely showing)
All in all I am pleased with the tank and would recommend it, just check all the plumbing thoroughly.
Aquascape looking good
Getting set up
Mixing time. Just gotta wait for it to get up to temp.
Installed the Ocean Revive Arctic T247 LEDs off my old tank. Should be getting R/O and live rock tomorrow.
