Michaelia Date Night Headcanons:
They normally don't do traditional "date nights." When they were younger, their version of a date night almost exclusively involved sneaking out of the house past curfew just to do something rebellious and see if they could get away with it.
One of their absolute favorite dates was a spontaneous trip to a late-night carnival. Michael spent a ridiculous amount of money trying to win her a cheap stuffed animal while Lia did it in one go.
They love to go out to do fun activities: Carnival, arcade, karaoke, clubbing, you name it.
They get super competitive at arcades. Lia dominates in Dance Dance Revolution and shooting games. Michael wins at skee-ball and more old-fashioned games like Pac-man.
80% of their karaoke dates involve Michael singing ridiculously into the mic and Lia laughing from the side.
When they do a double date with Dean and Cassie, Michael and Lia will flirt with each other shamelessly. They do it mostly because it’s fun, but also because they take absolute delight in teasing Dean and making him painfully uncomfortable the entire night.
When they go out with Sloane and Celine, Lia and Celine will spend the entire night poking fun at Michael while Sloane will try to jump to his defense with statistics that often times ends up making the situation worse. (Ex: "Michael only answers serious questions with humor 82% of the time. It's not even bad.")
They pranked Dean and Cassie before by sitting directly behind them at a movie and subtly throwing popcorn their way. They made bets on who could throw the most without getting caught (Lia won). After they were caught, they ended up making out in the back for the whole second half of the movie.
They are master ragebaiters and often talk their way (i.e. annoy) into free popcorn at movies, drinks at a club, etc.
When they went clubbing, Michael once nearly got arrested for starting a bar fight with a guy that kept harassing Lia.
Lia brought fluffy blankets and dragged Michael to watch a drive-in movie with her. He initially protested, insisting the porsche isn't meant for drive-in movies but ended up loving it. They also cuddled in the back bc Lia said she was cold (she wasn't).
When Lia casually mentioned she hasn't seen many Disney movies, Michael made her watch Tangled with him in his room. She refused to admit she loved it, but Michael saw the joy on her face during the floating lantern scene. So once when she was upset, he took her to the lake and surprised her with real lanterns they released into the sky. It earned him a "not bad" and a soft, genuine smile from Lia and he never forgot about it since.
