Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet, and the winds long to play with your hair 🌊✌🏼️🐠🌞

The censorship of women's nipples is craaazy. Like it is blatantly just "we will censor your body but only if you're a marginalized class who we consider inherently obscene/sexual" like holy shiiiiit why do we even humor this bullshit?

It’s tough being from one of the most beautiful places on earth. Not from a city nearby, or even a 20 minute drive away.. I didn’t have to drive to have an amazing summer day ☀️ everything I ever needed was just there. This last summer in particular really stuck with me 🩵 I took my paddleboard out for an average of 7 miles a day!! I’m not over exaggerating! lol I spent 62 days on my paddleboard soaking in the sun and diving into turquoise blue water 🩵 I love everything about my home. The weather, the smells, the wildlife 🦌 and you know what, I love the community of people there so much! One of those places where free gatherings are still a thing, and it’s acceptable to spend time at clothing optional beaches ☀️ This is the very first summer I am making a conscious decision to not return home for even a small part of the summer. This has always been a crazy idea to me! But there are more beautiful places to see, and lots of wonderful communities out there just waiting for me I know it 🚐 So here’s to new things ✨ thanks Tahoe for giving me the foundation to live the way that I do! ☀️ oh, and those of you who plan on visiting this year. Please make sure your campfires are out!! 🔥❌ (I am one of those people)

There’s something very special I’m preparing in Los Cabos for this life mission that means so much to me: normalizing the body and embracing acceptance. 🌊✨ In the middle of it all, this became one of my favorite pictures in Cabo, my love. 💙

I am grateful beyond what I’ll ever be able to say for the women in this world who saw what we were allowed to be and would not settle for that. - Kai
Happy International Women’s Day!! ✨💪🏼

Series from a cold and foggy morning this past December, waves were a bit chunky and the paddle out was tough but this group still managed to catch a few good ones 🙌

5 yrs later and this fun little nood project, that only started out with an idea and 3 badass friends, continues to impress me year after year. Seriously insane how many incredible humans this has reached. It’s so many different things for so many different people but at the end of the day I hope you can all look back on these photos and remember that feeling of immense joy and power you felt in the water that day
What’s that quote? “All you need is three bad motherfuckers and you can take over a country” well 3 turned 350 so I guess we’re well on our way 💅

From all of us at Changing Tides Foundation: thank you. 💙
This year, we made waves — literally. On Oʻahu, we stepped into the water, found freedom in the surf, and experienced the confidence that comes from being part of a supportive community. Because of your generosity, more girls connected with mentors, discovered their strength, and felt the power of belonging.
Together, we’ve created ripples of empowerment that will continue far beyond this Giving Season — across oceans, friendships, and generations.
Thank you to all of our amazing supporters who made all of our work this year possible!

It’s hard to believe that in 2025, the female body — unsexualized, natural, and human — can still spark controversy. But this project was never about shock value. It’s about truth.
The ocean doesn’t just teach us to surf — it teaches us to feel.
To be fully present in our bodies.
To listen to our intuition.
To remember that a body — soft, strong, scarred, radiant — is a home we get to return to.
These images are not about exposure. They’re about coming back to ourselves.
To the wild freedom that exists when we meet the water without armor or expectation.
To honoring the female body not as an object, but as art.
As strength.
As story.
This shoot on Oʻahu was an expression of sisterhood — a reminder that reclaiming space in the lineup is also about reclaiming space within ourselves.
Across oceans, friendships, and generations, women continue to rise together. Supporting, encouraging, and celebrating one another.
This is our siren call to all the seasters who have been making ripples of their own: we see you. And together, we’re changing the tides.
