Deletion
I just deleted everything that tethered me to a past that I can barely remember. Yet memory never fails to remind me of all of those “what-could-have-beens” and a part of me wished that the past 10 years didn’t happen. What I would give to tell myself to live to my fullest and to sternly tell myself to not let others bound me with their assumptions. I would have saved myself from so many tears, heartbreak, and agony. To this day, I still see reminders of that past and realize how little everyone around me knows of me.

“I don’t think I could love you so much if you had nothing to complain of and nothing to regret. I don’t like people who have never fallen or stumbled. Their virtue is lifeless and of little value. Life hasn’t revealed its beauty to them.” - Boris Pasternak, Doctor Zhivago (via the-book-diaries)
