I GRADUATED, I'M FREE 🎉Of course the first thing I had to do was finish was the Vere sketch.

As for the idea, I was just thinking about Vere and his lore... he makes me sad. To live imprisoned and chained to follow other's orders. I'll keep exploring methods to create even stronger compositions in the future, but nevertheless I wanted to capture that feeling, mostly through color and overall atmosphere, and Vere's expression. My idea was making a piece where we as the viewers first just go "ooh pretty, graceful..." as a first impression, but the closer you look, he doesn't look particularly joyous or flirty... and you realize, a gorgeous prisoner is still a prisoner.

I shall make a separate post later on with extra words related to the whole "I graduated" thing. So many ideas I want to make 🥀

There have only been two times in Keir's life when time seemed to stand perfectly still. The first time was when his mother died; the second, when his partner was found dead one early morning. The third and last time came when one starless night, after following the tracks of a vampire for what seemed to be ages, he was led to the courtyard of a decrepit manor, where in the line between the darkest gloom and grey moonlight, things that should have burnt and gone up in ash for the better good long, long ago stood.

Fullbodies for the dragon guys! :3c I can't really come up with a long post description, other than saying I'm so happy to finally be able to share these <3

Some rambles under the cut~

For Enki, me and Leeni were done with his art for a while now. But I wanted to have both of them posted at the same time. Still, when I finished Silver I revised the piece to polish up any details I missed out. Leeni also got the idea to change the shape of his earfins slightly, so that's a small upgrade!

For Silver, god, he's such a pain (affectionate). What took the longest was figuring out his clothes. It was a careful balance of keeping it fancy but not too fancy, since this is supposed to be his "main clothes", or he's at least he's wearing them very often, so they had to be comfortable looking too. Initially I drew him with a more smug, cocky expression. But honestly it was way too attractive, so I had to tone him down

There had to be a lot of gold, of course. My favourite part was giving him those claw thingies on his hand~

So, Juno Montoya a.k.a. Vesper 🏹✨ a plain Jane Doe with absolutely nothing wrong going on with her nor her lineage, and who surely gets everything she wants in life!

Before getting sick, she manned the closing shift at The Grapevine, the family-run bar, and every month hunted in the forest to supply it with game, which is what she was mostly known for topside.

✦ In a less roundabout way, Juno is in her early thirties and stands 175 cm (5' 8") tall.

✦ Personality-wise, Juno is to be reckoned with, but also warm and approachable, and has become more reserved since the threat of sudden death began to loom over her head. She still is a witty tease (see: The Bit™), but overall has less enthusiasm and openness than usual.

✦ Twenty years ago, her father got sick with fractum anima and left for the marketplace too, leaving with nothing but a note apologizing for all their grief. She got her love for astronomy from him and left home similarly.

✦ Her "Ideal Partner" is like that because the man she was about to marry a few years ago (a seminarian of the Solar church) broke up with her to resume his studies, after five years of dating, over a letter. It is still a bit of a sore subject for her.

Julie d'Aubigny called, she'd like her flair back.

I commissioned @vaultureculture to get a couple of sprites of Juno done, and not only did they catch my vision just right, they elevated it.

The majority of the color scheme and the ribbing on the sleeves, for example, was her idea, and so was the chain and the combination of this mask, the skull of a deer, and some arabesque patterns to make Juno's mask (and also the concept of putting them along the edge of the cloak). Chef kiss, absolutely mad designing skills.

You'd never guess this woman was a barmaid every day of the week and a huntress twice a month, but she has no reason to bring her hunting gear along with her on this trip, to be fair, especially when she has clothes in better condition.

College is driving me insane, recharging batteries by allowing myself to sketch personal stuff otherwise I will go mad 🥀 Have a Vere wip. I'm surprised I managed to get it to look this presentable in one sitting lolol
