God designing a baby
This is kind of an awkward question, but if I asked my mom this question she would probably laugh at me and not really answer (so thank-you for being here!!) I don't wash my clothes by hand, but I'm really scared to ruin my bras by washing them in the machine. I just got a bra that is expensive :/ but actually fits my body correctly. How are you supposed to handwash and dry bras? Thank-you!
Not awkward, no worries, and glad to help!!
I’d recommend one of two ways. First way (i.e. lazy way): wash them in the shower. When you take a shower, run the water over them and scrub some body wash into them, rinse with shower water, press the water out but don’t wring too roughly, and hang to dry over the shower door or on a drying rack.
Second way (a little less lazy, but probably “better”: wash them in the sink. You can use Woolite, a little body wash, castille soap, or mild laundry detergent. Fill up the sink with cool water and the soap, then soak the bras for maybe 10 min. Scrub a little, if you’d like. Then, rinse with clean water until no suds, press the water out without wringing too roughly, and hang to dry.
The main things to prevent too much damage are avoid wringing, avoid too much tousling, and avoid too much heat, all of which weaken elastic and can damage the delicate details. Another great tip to make your bras last longer is don’t wear the same bra two days in a row if you can avoid it; this allows the elastic to regain its shape without getting too stretched out.
You can usually get away with putting them in the washing machine, as long as you use a zippered delicate bag or specific bra washing bag. I’d still recommend hanging to dry, though!
Good luck!– Mimi
Children playing with Barbies in media: “This is Sally. She’s the mommy. She loves fashion, swimming, and she drives a convertible! She has a baby with Ken and sometimes they kiss.” OR “Look, I ripped Barbie’s head off! Ha ha ha! I’m a boy.”
Children playing with Barbies in real life: “This is Aurora, the fallen goddess of the sky. She has been banished from her kingdom and bound to a mortal body by her sister, who rose to power by human sacrifices. She now leads an army of cannibal water spirits who eat men. Sometimes they have orgies. They dismembered a traitor and keep her head on a Popsicle stick as a warning to others. Aurora can turn into a wolf and uses battle magic to paralyze her enemies. The king of the stuffed animals developed rabies and she had to slay him to save his people, but they do not understand that it was an act of mercy and kindness and are sending assassins after her for regicide. This is Aurora’s soulmate, Crystal, but her soul is trapped in a gemstone while an evil spirit pilots her body and attempts to murder her friends.”
be patient, good things are coming your way :)
