Anyways, before anyone questions why this is rude (maybe even offensive) in some ways, I’ll explain it for you

First Picture: Lauren was angry tweeting (as some of us do) and Shawn implied that she was ‘acting black’. This correlates with the ‘Angry Black Girl’ stereotype. Which is NOT OKAY.

Second Picture: ‘I’m black, burnt up you know’ is actually really rude (yes it really is) because black people with dark skin are always made fun of, being called “Midnight, unlocked character, burnt toast, burnt up” and Shawn actually isn’t black (but that’s not the point)

Third Picture: I honestly feel like I don’t even have to explain the third one 😕

And no I am not a ‘fake fan’ for posting this. I just wanted the fandom to be aware that Shawn is not a perfect person. Our idols won’t always be who we want them to be, and that’s okay. Just wanted to give y’all a little reminder. I still stan Shawn, but I just wanted to bring to everyone’s attention that this is not okay.
