college pre-requisites are largely bullshit. i’ve literally won speech and debate awards at the state level, repeatedly, i make money from my speeches, i have trophies, medals, etc. from this shit
yet i have to pay a thousand dollars to take a class on how to give speeches, lmaooooooooooo, and theres no way to test out of it, you either have the course or you dont.
i’m literally on the speech and debate team, i was the captain of my old team, and that’s not qualification enough,
so i have to sit in a class full of 18 year olds who can’t give speeches and waste my time and money because this school is intentionally obtuse when it comes to their students abilities.
in academia having skills isn’t enough you must also have the money to prove your skills, your skills aren’t allowed to speak for themselves.
