Really sad news to come out of the WSL 2. Durham WFC needs financial investors in 2 weeks or they have to shut down the club at all levels. This is especially sad because Durham started as a grassroot girls team in the north east and many of the first team players now were a part of that grassroots team. Womens football needs to grow yes, but that groeth also needs to be sustainable. Pumping shit tone of money into one or two teams means that grassroot teams cant rise up to the level quick enough and that is very detrimental.

I started following football around the 2019 world cup. I absolutely loved watching Tobin Heath play and sort of followed her to the WSL. She left after a short time but I stayed at arsenal. They made me fall in love with this game. And now, more than half of that team is gone. Its a weird feeling.

I fuckin love this club! and I love these players. So Vic, Codi, Meado, Manu and Katie... thank you so much for all you have done for this club ❤️ We will miss you.
