MOSA’S JOINT - Chorizo Burger w/ Avocados

Mosa’s was originally a canteen that moved from venue to venue during the week. And one magnificent day, they parked themselves just across my street, so my cousin and I walked ourselves over to check it out and this amazing burger was featured on the board that day and is one of their regulars now. Before, trying to track down and order these off the back of the food truck was definitely a food adventure but when they finally settled down into a proper restaurant, well now I visit frequently and I am glad I don't have to do the run-around any more. To this day, I swear by this burger. I am not kidding you when I say you won’t regret it. I have no doubt you will fall in love with this burger; you will want to marry this burger. (well this or their bleu cheese burger that also never ever disappoints)

PIKA'S CAFE - Tinaktak Burger w/ Avocados I love Pika's Cafe because they always feature local favorites, but it always has a little spin on it. In this case my No. 1 favorite the tinaktak burger: ground beef with coconut milk and green beans. I added avocados because I'm obsessed with them and are always welcome in burgers. You have to try this and/or visit Pika's. The staffs' so friendly; the place is so well-known there's always a little wait, but it's ALWAYS worth it; and everything on the menu is absolutely delicious! The tangs are a favorite and a specialty, but get the pineapple tea since Pika's is one of the rare places that actually always has it on the menu. (Plus even offer you a to-go cup! Talk about customer service!)

This is your typical fiesta plate on Guam. Except it's missing BBQ ribs, shrimp patties, lumpia, and titiyas. Any party on Guam will have those and what's featured here: Red rice (of course), BBQ chicken shishkabob, fried chicken, chicken kelaguen, beef kelaguen, potato salad, Kimchee (or some sort of dinanche' or pepper will be available). This plate will have you full, with your belt and buttons pulled off, and even wanting seconds. But don't worry, you can always bulutan. (If you're not being ma'ma'lao.)

MESKLA DOS - Rancheru Burger This burger don't mess around. It's easily on my lists of "foods I want to eat before I die" and "foods I could eat for the rest of my life". I'm telling you, you need to try this sometime. It's a huge ass (I'm sure it's 1/2lb.) homemade patty, with your usual BLT, plus bacon, and spicy mayo sauce that just pulls everything together for an amazing all-around experience. You know how you know it's a good-ass burger when the oils drip down from the burger into the palms of your hands? Yeah, this is that kind of burger. One that you don't even wanna make touch the plate again cuz it's just that damn good. P.S. That's the fiesta plate in the background being devoured by my lovely boyfriend. He likes to get the two choice of tinala katne and katne. AND THE HOUSE DENANCHE IS BOMB AF! I like to spread some across my burger for extra spicy goodness.

JEFF’S PIRATES COVE - Burger w bacon I can’t get over how amazing this burger is. As a local, I hardly find the time to go down and dine at Jeff’s but as a tourist, getting in a rent-a-car, driving around the island, and making a stop at Jeff’s should be on your to-do list when you come to Guam. Or even if you are local and one of those people that never come down to the south, you should definitely check it out. First to get you to this venue: Jeff’s has an amazing view of the beach, it’s real breezy, it’s an outdoor restaurant so it gives you a real authentic island-y feel, and the scenery is nice for walking around whilst waiting for your food. AND THE FOOOOOOOD!!!! Let me tell you!: this burger is the only thing I go to Jeff’s for. I always tell myself I’ll try the fiesta plate (which my boyfriend loves and lives by) or any of the other amazing stuff on their menu (salads, gyro plates, fish plates, and more) but this burger is just beyond delicious. It’s an additional $2 to add bacon, but I’m not complaining. I mean, check out that photo. The thing looks hella bomb and tastes even better. Believe me.

SUSHI ROCK - Rose Crans

I am a regular here at this sushi joint and would like to introduce you to
 this special, deep-fried sushi roll: Rose Crans. You’re probably like “wait what?!” or “goddamn” and in both cases you are right. This lovely roll includes spicy tuna, crab meat, and avodcado all wrapped up and then deep fried to perfection then drizzled with spicy mayo. It’s a must try and definitely on my top 5 rolls to try at sushi rock. (#1 would be either a Hollywood roll or firecracker roll, but I really can’t decide and will def post photos of both when I visit again!)

1st Post.

It's been a long time coming, me and this blog. With Guam having amazing scenery, welcoming people, sand beaches, and a wide variety of adventures available for guests, we also have AMAZING food all around the island. This is pretty much my critique of the various food establishments I've visited and will visit. I'll update it from here on out and will come back to restaurants as much as I'd like.
