Hey all, I’m seeing a lot of confusion due to my flippant phrasing in the OP. Greenland sharks probably don’t take down live megafauna, just scavenge their remains, although it’s possible they’ll opportunistically prey on juveniles. There has been 1 case of a polar bear jawbone found in a Greenland shark’s stomach, and 1 situation where a shark had to be helped by moose hunters after it choked on the moose they had already killed. We don’t know that much about these guys and their habits but it seems like they eat whatever they can get (but not humans!)
