Teddy grew up with his grandmother after he lost both of his parents. While he wishes he knew them, he is exceptionally happy with his upbringing. When Teddy brought home his boyfriend for the first time his grandmother threw out every bible in the home, knowing a religion that didn't accept her grandson was not a religion for her
