Basically, her brother, he's an asshole and a man child.

He had a fight with someone and wanted to hurt them. So. He forced The Messenger into a contract (there was violence involved) in which she would dig up the grave of the sister of the person he had an argument with and bring the pieces to the person.

Well. She didn't want to do it, and so she broke the contract. And. Well. You know the rest

Well, here's a few facts about ghosts that walk outside the realm of the dead:

- A lot of ghosts act out or cause trouble simply out of boredom.

- Ghosts don't like change! Especially when it involves themselves.
