I keep seeing all these aesthetic posts of Apollo as the whitest man alive. And while I adore him with all my might and heart, I can’t stand that anymore. The Theoi look however they want, and while I see him as a blondie with blue or gold eyes because I’m still developing my relationship with him and with the faith, I think it’s healthier to show him as he is in my own culture. So here it is. The Apollo Aesthetic as Indian culture

3rd day - Athena, 4th day - Aphrodite, Eros, Hermes, Heracles, 6th day - Artemis, 7th day - Apollon, 8th day - Poseidon and Theseus, last day of lunar month/dark moon - Hekate.

Okay first of all, who the heck is calling Persephone the patron goddess of rape/abuse survivor? Is it on tumblr? (I haven't seen anything like that yet) and secondly, what do you mean by english translations suck? Do you have a better translation? If yes, then I'm curious to see it explained. Because in all existing translations, Persephone was forcefully dragged away while she cried for her mother. Also, Demeter didn't bring the gods to their knees, she only caused trouble to humanity. Lastly, you intended this to be a hellenic polytheism post and yet you refer to Hades as a man???

This song is Apollo’s blessing. It’s not a secret I don’t care what you all think of Taylor, she’s a huge part of my worship… But this song… I undeniably Apollo.

She refers to her destructive side by way of an arrow… which, as we know, archery is Apollo’s and Artemis’ sibling thing. But unlike his sister, Apollo’s much more destructive and emotionally charged than Artemis who is more protective and provides. 

Apollo has been named in modern worship by many as the god of mental health and recovery due to his associations with health and his destructive side. He is also strongly associated with music in general. 

This song picks up a tale of confession of self destruction with a production that feels like it’s going somewhere even though it really doesn’t by the end of the song, representing aimlessness and pent up energy. It doesn’t quite express a healing journey from beginning to end, it expresses a specific moment in a healing journey where one’s own fault is admitted and a commitment is made to face that rather than run away from it… which is why the production of the song doesn’t run away, though it wants to.

Everything that The Archer represents is represented in Apollo and vise versa. 

Once again, I am so thankful to Apollo for blessing Taylor. I feel like he speaks to me through her… and I’m so glad.

No. Not at all.

Our modern concept of love and sexuality doesn't apply to a goddess coming from ancient times, which had different opinions of love. She's not the goddess of sexuality, she's the goddess of sexual desire. For Ancient Greeks, love was of 7 types, and Aphrodite was the goddess of those kind of loves. Not the goddess of no sex. In fact, she screws up a guy who decides not to have sex... So...
