Somehow, Stephen felt he should not have been surprised by the man’s reaction. He may have stopped a criminal from harming anyone else, but the way he had reacted by shooting right away was not the method Stephen would have preferred. “I wouldn’t expect you to send anyone to another dimension, idiot,” he said, glaring at the man, not appreciating his imitation of Stephen’s magical gestures, “God help us if you actually could do magic. You would probably start turning the criminals into giant Twinkies.” Which would be another way to end the conflict without violence, but Stephen was hardly going to start doing that.
“Because there is no one in that particular dimension to be killed,” Stephen shook his head, explaining things as simply as he could, “It’s a giant desert made of purple sand. There are no other beings in it, nor any other sources of power, nor a way to return. I assure you, I solved the problem without any shooting.” The man’s explanation was not entirely wrong. As Stephen had found when he had learned about the Ancient One drawing power from the Dark Dimension, sometimes you had to break rules for the greater good. But that was still not the same as simply killing someone without even trying to stop them first. “Hmm, I guess I must be watching the wrong movies, then. Maybe I need to switch to whatever channel you’re watching.”
“So I’m an idiot Doc, but sending him to another dimension with nothing in it? Doesn’t that scream murder to you? I mean, I killed that guy fast, you’re killing him slowly. You’re the real idiot, idiot” Wade said as he was quite chuffed with himself.. But then the thought of a giant Twinkies was too good to be true. “Would it still be cannibalism if you eat giant Twinkies who used to be a person? I mean, I’ll do it for science”
“Don’t worry, we can have a movie night in once we deal with the problem. We’’ll have it your way, and ask the criminals nicely to go back to prison. I’m sure they’ll listen”
