He wasn’t sure of what time it was, but it seemed to be nearing midnight as he noticed the crowd migrate together in one large clump. There seemed to be more fireworks now, too. “Hey, uh, it’s probably a dumb question, but we’re gonna do that whole kiss at midnight thing, right?”

Dallas’s face broke into a wide smile. Her eyes sparkled and she nodded. “Yes.”

Taking a seat, Ben smiled at Dallas. “I think I have a knack for picking the best fireworks viewing points. Too bad you can’t make a career outta that.” 

“No, but I’m sure you’ll find something else you’re good at to do.” Dallas squeezed his hand.

Dallas didn’t really care where they watched the fireworks from as long as they did it together. She found herself skipping as Ben lead them to the spot. “Good choice,” she said when she noticed there were fewer people.
