the commander and their found family
aka some fluff w/the commander and the members of dragon’s watch
kasmeer - the commander always takes her input and is always in her corner to encourage her or lend an ear; even if they don’t believe in the human gods themselves, they respect her dedication. if they do believe in the gods, they confide in her their doubts and struggles during path of fire, and they can always count on her to help lift their spirits.
marjory - the commander absolutely teases her about her and kasmeer during season one and is always ready to listen to any doubts or observations she has about a situation. they’re confident in her abilities and never hesitate to trust her with their life. a necromancer commander would also feel more at ease using their abilities around her.
braham - the commander adopts a joking rapport with him, always ready to spar, arm wrestle, or join him in a drinking competition, and will tease him about it regardless of who wins. despite the pressure much of his people place on him to be a great hero like his mother, the commander values him as family no matter where his journeys take him, even if that path sometimes runs opposite to their own.
rox - the commander is always happy to see her, greeting frostbite with equal enthusiasm; they make sure she knows she always has a place with them. when others (particularly other charr) put her down, the commander is ready to come to her defense. they know how much braham means to her and never fault her when this results in her acting out of concern for him.
taimi - the commander comes to her with any questions they have, sometimes calling her simply because they need to listen to someone. they know full well that she is a force to be reckoned with and never underestimated (which many of her peers seem to do), and are endlessly glad to have her as a comrade and friend
rytlock - a younger commander develops a bit of a mentor-mentee dynamic with him (insert the “do you see me as a father figure?” bit), while an older commander is grateful for his insight and friendship. regardless, the commander isn’t afraid to tease/butt heads a bit with him, but ultimately respects him for what he’s been through. and yes, they do enjoy his hugs.
gorrik - the commander finds his enthusiasm for insects contagious, and will send him the odd question or photo of an interesting bug they saw simply because they think he’d enjoy it. they will tease and compliment him in equal measure, though they’re always sure to never invalidate his interests.
