I’ve come to love again—
not just love,
but a person.
Genuine.
Kind, smart, hardworking.
You make me smile—cheesily,
despite the cringe.
In silence,
I realised it.
I really, really like you.

Love is meant to be boring
It’s supposed to feel repetitive, slow, steady, even dull sometimes.
Because love isn’t meant to be glamorous or exciting all the time.
It’s meant to be boring — boring, boring, and beautifully so.
it’s that time of the year again
where I reflect and think ponder and wonder what could have been
not talking about love not talking about hate but talking about wishing wishing and wishing again
and now it’s that time of the year again where i wonder if anything could have changed
still, the green returns, no fail to places I thought I’d died and if nothing ever changes then I was never alive
Writing
Comes easiest when I’m either in love or heartbroken.
There are three types of people in my life
The leaves— they bring warmth and comfort, yet they only stay for a season, and before you know it, they’re gone.
The branches— steady and strong, yet over time, they break away.
Lastly, the roots— grounding me, Even when there’s worry.
Each plays a part— but only the roots stay. Everything else tends to burn away.
Afraid
i’m such a shitty person. i get close to people and then i’m— too afraid.
afraid of closeness, afraid of the warmth, afraid.
and i repeat: push and push, again and again.
i get close and yet i’m so afraid of getting close to others.
because what if they stay? what if they see me— all of me— and decide in the end to leave.
To commemorate my 1st
To commemorate my first year on Tumblr—
I want to honor the people I’ve met,
the experiences that have shaped me,
and the history ever unfolding, growing all around me.
AMA open to taking suggestions:)
Fracture
A rhythm, a feeling, a melody— depth lingers before it’s snatched, then snapped, cracks and dents, all blank.
Letting go
Hey, you crossed my mind again, it’s silly, but I find you captivating then.
And I know on your page you say, "Nuh uh, he still luh me," in your own strange way. And it stings, if I’m real, not knowing quite how you feel.
Are you still thinking about me? Or was I, like the breeze, a passing thought, swept with ease?
Perhaps it’s best we’ll never know— after all, I think I’ve let you go.
My duality
I'm not good with hellos or goodbyes, nor do I believe that connections through screens are truly necessary. I just want to build genuine relationships.
So when someone asked me, "Why not share your words with me?" I paused. I don’t want to, and likely never will, because poetry is my healing.
Like the plants growing in my room, I won’t cut the flowers before they bloom— and that’s my duality.
Fear of connection
There’s beauty in the fear of connection. It’s not that I fear knowing people— I fear knowing them too well, the closeness that hurts, again and again.
I know we are meant to weave temporary threads, in search of something endless. But when time moves on, will these threads hold? Will they still be endless?
Not again.
Thongs and throngs
"I was asked to write about throngs and thongs— two things I fear. The pressing mass of a crowd, and… wait, remind me, what exactly are thongs again?"
I just found your blog and I just want to say your writing is amazing.
@pen-pain-poetry ty pooki ur kind words are appreciated:)
People will remember you for
I've realized people won’t remember you for the grand gestures or the carefully chosen words. What lingers in their minds isn’t the praise you gave or the promises you made.
Instead, they remember the way you made them feel, the warmth or the coldness of your touch, the kindness or the hurt you left behind
In the end, what echoes in their hearts isn’t the sum of your actions or your intentions, but the impact of what you did to them— how you shaped their lives and colored their memories.
Cutting hair
I was sitting, thinking, wondering about the luminosity of it all.
In one fleeting moment, it’s all gone.
My hair has grown longer, and I’ve realized that, like my hair, friendships can grow longer too.
But when I go for a haircut, does it mean I’m cutting my friends?
I know you’ll all forget me, and I hope to erase the memories before it’s too late.
Some time for silly love
It's been some time since the enigmatic figures of a girl who loved bread and another who drank bubble tea with me every Sunday.
Now, years have passed since I’ve seen you both. One’s name I’ve forgotten, and the other's story remains untold.
But I’m thankful for the lessons you both left behind: Don’t fall in love with the person in your mind.
Fall in love with a person who heals your mind— like rain after a long drought, like a warm blanket on a cold night, like sunlight breaking through on the darkest of days.
Someone who stirs the sweetness back into your life, like the way you mix bubble tea before the first sip.
I'll stop writing
I'll stop writing not when my words falter or metaphors sound shallow. I'll stop when writing starts hurting, like a dam overflowing, its walls cracking, pressure mounting until the floodgates burst, letting the water soak in.
And I've learned
you'll be three different versions of yourself: one with friends, one with family, one alone. Yet each cant and wont bear the weight of hurting.
