Heads Up

I’m almost ready to start rping as Eric over on my multi-muse account. I’m going to finish up the threads I have going but I won’t start anything new on here. I’ll post the url for the new account on here so if you wish to continue rping with me/Eric, you can. I won’t be deleting this account though since there is character development that I don’t want to lose.

“I can make sure you have a long taste of New Orleans, though I admit… most of it will be Pride’s cooking.” Pride made the most fantastic and authentic meals there were. “Oh that’s how I know you’ve never been here before. There are tourists who wear all manner of things. You may get a second look, but little more than that.” She remembered some of the things she’d warn around, and it was hilarious how little people actually cared. “Technically… you are on vacation. Kind of.” She reasoned with a smirk, entering the part of the city she truly considered her home and turning onto the long street that made up her trip to the office.

“It is for me, not so much for my team.” She knew that it “People tend to let me sleep. I have… as mentioned earlier, quite severe insomnia. So if I’m asleep I really need it.” Merri hit the button that would open the gate to the carport as they neared it and smiled softly, pulling in through the gate and parking in her usual spot. “Here we are, welcome to your temporary home.”

“Works for me, I’m not picky about what I eat.” Given the situation, Eric was more than willing to go with the flow and not put up much of a fight. “He’s the one with the bar, right?” He was sure the team would get a kick out of that fun fact. “So how many people should I expect to see around the office? Just so I’m not caught off guard or anything.” He rubbed the back of his neck as he grinned sheepishly at her. Of course, he couldn’t stop thinking of his tendency to do embarrassing things so he wanted to clamp down on that as much as was possible. At her comment, he nodded his head. It made sense to him. “I like the way that you think and if I bring back souvenirs then that should work to blow things over with my family.”

Eric listened intently or as intently as person could when they’re trying to not fall asleep. “If I see you sleeping, I will leave you be then.” It was a good thing to know beforehand. He let out another yawn, glad that they were almost to their destination. “No offense but I’m glad to get here so we can get out of the car.” Gathering up the trash, he put into one of the plastic bags then packed up his stuff. “Did you want to let Agent Pride know we’re here while I get my bags out of the car?”

Moving On || Merri & Eric

She looked at him and nodded thinking about how Kensi would have struggled like that. “Yeah, I’m glad that I never did anything that required covers for a long time. I can lie, but I don’t like to.” Merri had never liked to lie unless she absolutely had to. She wanted to be honest with everyone, and that was what she liked a lot about the life she had now. She could deal with covering Eric’s career, that was his life, she just had a part in it that she was proud of. As for her hobby, she wanted to involve Eric if she could. “Well, you can always help me research places to explore, then come along if you wanted to.” Merri wasn’t sure how much he’d enjoy it, some people freaked out on their first explore and hated it. Some loved it. Learning that Eric also knew ASL made her grin taking the food off the stove and laughed, she’d never taught a new language to someone, but she was sure that she’d be able to. “Hey, that’s awesome, and I’ll happily teach you another language, whichever one takes your fancy.” Merri then plated up their dinner and brought it over to the table, putting it down and smiling to Eric. She had no idea if this would taste good, but it had seemed to work.

Eric smiled at his girlfriend and he appreciated her telling him that. “It is certainly one of the bigger down sides to what the team does but thinking about all the lives saved, brought to justice and terrible events that have been prevented.....well, that makes it a little easier to sleep at night.” Taking another sip of his beer, he pushed away the concern that always blossomed when he thought about the team not feeling so great. “One of the things I like the best about our relationship is that I don’t have to lie to you, to hide part of me away. It’s bad enough that I do it with my family but to someone I’m dating too......well, it’s easier to keep things casual.” Eric knew that he didn’t look like someone who was into having a casual thing with another person but before Merri, it was what worked best because he’s a terrible liar. “I’m down with that. I think that could be interesting then when we check them out, I can see if any would be viable for future ops.” Though, he mentally thought.....any that became favorites of Merri’s would stay off the list regardless of their condition.  He gave her a shy but pleased smile when she said she would help him with the language learning. “Thanks Mer, I really appreciate that.” Eric liked the thought that he could surprise the team with his new skill.

If it wasn’t what is best for me, then I’d keep this account active. I’m glad to hear that though. I’ll finish up our two threads here but we can start doing things on the new account tomorrow once I change the url.

“We house witnesses and protectees in our office fairly often, so you don’t need to worry about a cover story there.” She knew that nobody in New Orleans would even look twice if there was suddenly someone new with the agents. Just like they’d taken to Buckley too. “You’ll be in our office or Pride’s bar, probably. We don’t think they’ll have followed you to New Orleans, you can use our system to tell your family you’re on vacation, be vague. We’ll figure things.” Merri knew that, and if she was suddenly pulled away she’d want to let her family know, even if she couldn’t say specifically.

Merri chuckled along with him, turning through toward the French Quarter and the office. “I just have the unique ability to fall asleep wherever I need to be. Wherever I have enough chance.” She smiled looking at Eric, listening to his comment about Callen, she knew that feeling, and people had accused her of living like that too. She’d had the same sofa since she graduated college.

Eric nodded his head, glad to hear that. “I can work with that as long as I get a taste of New Orleans. I gotta have something to rub in the team’s faces when I get back.” He’s heard great things about the food of New Orleans so he was hoping that he would get to eat what the locals eat. It was a relief that people wouldn’t care about him being there. “Though, I’m sure they’ll take a second look at me considering how I’m dressed.” If push came to shove, he would wear pants. Eric was sure that Hetty slipped a couple pairs into his luggage when he wasn’t looking. “I’ll work on what I’ll tell my family but you can count on me to keep it vague. I’ve gotten pretty used to doing that.” Of course, his mother was going to read him the riot act but maybe he could bring back gifts to sell the vacation cover story.

“I’m sure that that is a useful skill. Sam complains about Callen sometimes especially when he goes to wake his partner up and ends up getting hit for his efforts.” Eric laughed, the different personalities kept him entertained even the joke was at his expense. Despite that, he knew the team has his back and were out for blood for whoever put him in this situation. It was one thing for them one of them to get threats made against but an entirely different thing when it was Nell or him.

WOW ok so there’s a new ad for ‘Scream’ that repeats ‘Click Skip and Die’ in a high pitched whisper on youtube and it is a MAJOR schizophrenic trigger if you’re not expecting it
